The words “cheap” and “SSD” don’t tend to cluster together all that much, which is a shame because many people would love to upgrade their tech with cool-running, fast-accessing solid-state storage. OCZ promised to (almost) change things, with their Core Series line of drives: the predicted retail prices are $169, $259 and $479 for 32GB, [...]
ASUS continued their assault on the budget computing market this week, with the Eee PC 900 finally launching in the US while its Intel Atom powered sibling the PC 901 broke cover. We also saw a live photo of the Eee Box B202, a desktop version. It looks as though the rumors of a separate [...]
It is all fun time when gamers are building their desktop PC; OCZ would like to give the same DIY experience to gaming notebook. The memory company has been branching out to more sectors and DIY notebook is a totally new territory to them.
I wouldn’t even think of overclocking these DDR2-1150 memory chips considering they already require the use of an intense system of metal fins to dissipate heat and water cooling seems to be highly recommended with two lines going in and two going out of each stick’s processor-worthy heatsink. If you absolutely have to be on [...]
These drives are more or less just like any of the other 2.5” SATA II SSD drives out there. They come in 32 and 64 gigabyte capacities, but what’s different is they offer up 120MB/s read and 100MB/s write speeds.
It’s a 4GB RAM kit with a pair of 2GB PC2 6400 DDR2 sticks of RAM. They also have NVIDIA EPP.
EPP stands for Enhanced Performance Profiles and is built into the RAM chips so that they work far better with nVidia’s nForce SLI-based motherboards. They operate at a mere 800MHz which is kind of said [...]
It seems that manufacturers are really starting to understand the importance of making flash drives that can really take a beating. This is good news for me, because I’m not really sure what it is I do to them, but I’m hard on flash drives. OCZ as just released their new ATV line of flash [...]
OCZ has really made a name for themselves in the PC enthusiast market with their kick-ass memory. That’s not to say that they don’t make plenty of other cool products. In fact they have just announced their latest CPU cooler dubbed the Vanquisher.
When you ask people who has the best RAM on the market, you’re going to hear OCZ come up quite a bit, and for good reason. They have just announced their new DDR3-14400 kit which looks to blow the competition out of the water.
If you like to stay on the bleeding edge of technology, then you no doubt have upgraded to a board using DDR3, or soon will.
