The folks at Nyko have made a surprise one-two hit today with a variety of accessories that are aimed in the public eye directly at such next-generation devices as NVIDIA SHIELD. What we’re seeing right here is the functionality described in our first presentation of their new SHIELD dock, but without the dock. Here we’ve got NVIDIA’s SHIELD working as a miniature Android-based game console attached to an HDTV with a Nyko PlayPad Pro as a controller connected with Bluetooth.
Just after first hearing about Nyko’s accessory contributions to NVIDIA SHIELD earlier today, we’ve gotten the opportunity check theses accessories out first hand at E3 2013! Here we’re seeing both the Nyko NVIDIA SHIELD Travel Case and the Nyko NVIDIA SHIELD Shell Case in action, complete with a production-level SHIELD device inside. Look friendly enough to you?
The folks at Nyko have decided E3 to be the perfect place to let it be known that they're on-board with NVIDIA and their soon-to-be-released SHIELD gaming device for accessories from the get-go. With a SHIELD Dock aside a Travel and Shell Case as well as a Power Kit, Nyko will be ready for the push as it comes on extremely soon. These accessories will be released what we must assume will be just a bit after NVIDIA's own in-house releases.

Game peripherals maker Nyko launched a new device today called the Zoom that's meant to be an add-on to Microsoft's Kinect. Anyone who's played a Kinect game, knows that it requires a large space, which not everyone has. But not to worry for those of you living in dorms or inhabiting other confined spaces, the Nyko Zoom reduces the space requirement by 40 percent.

If you are a big fan of the Xbox 360 and you have a Kinect sensor you want to use but don’t have the space to play with it the Zoom for Kinect made by Nyko may be the answer you need. I have talked about this lens accessory a few times now and it is a very simple and cool way to reduce the room you need to use the Kinect with accuracy. I know I need one of these for my house because the Kinect never works in the room we play it in because of the small space available.

About a month ago, I mentioned the interesting Nyko Zoom for Kinect accessory that had debuted. The device is a special clip on lens accessory for the Kinect that greatly reduces the amount of room you need in your space to play Kinect games. I know that in the room where the Kinect was in our house we didn't have enough space to use it with accuracy so we just never used it.

I don't know about you, but any time my iPhone or other game console runs out of power on the go, it's generally right at the point where I am about to win a race or beat a certain boss. Last Christmas my kids really wanted to get the Kinect for the Xbox 360 and that Kinectimals game. I realized right away that the way the room was arranged where we kept the gaming system there wasn’t enough room for us to get back far enough from the TV for the Kinect to work ideally without rearranging furniture. That meant the Kinect wasn’t very accurate and just didn’t work so it has sat unused all these months.
