ASUS Eee Top ET2002T and ET2203T Ion all-in-ones confirmed for US

The ASUS Eee Top ET2002T all-in-one - which slots NVIDIA's Ion GPU into the nettop - has made its official appearance on the company's US site, together with getting an official announcement along with its 22-inch ET2203T sibling..  First spotted on a French retailer's site last week, the ET2002T packs Intel's dual-core Atom 330 processor together with a 20-inch 16:9 aspect touchscreen display and DVD burner.

Samsung may be delaying their N510 Ion-based netbook in the US, but someone in Germany obviously didn't get the same memo.  NetbookNews has not only unboxed the 11.6-inch notebook but thrown up some comparison shots between it and the smaller Samsung NC10.  There's also some demo footage showing HD video performance of both systems side-by-side, in case you're really wondering what difference the GeForce GPU makes.

Samsung delay N510 Ion netbook until Windows 7 too

Hot on the heels of word that Lenovo's IdeaPad S12 NVIDIA Ion netbook will be delayed until the launch of Windows 7 in late October, comes the news from Samsung that they're planning the same tactics for their own Ion ultraportable, the N510.  The 11.6-inch notebook - which last we heard was set to arrive in the US come September - pairs Intel's 1.6GHz Atom N270 processor with 1GB of RAM and the GeForce 9400M GPU.

NVIDIA MCP89 and MCP99 Ion-successors headed to Apple in Q1 2010?

It looks as though NVIDIA and Apple may have kissed and made up after GPU issues soured their business relationship.  According to Digitimes' sources, the Cupertino company will use NVIDIA's upcoming MCP89 and MCP99 chipsets for Intel-based notebooks when they launch in Q1 2010.  The MCP89 is known to be the successor to the well-received GeForce 9400M (aka the NVIDIA Ion).
