Kohjinsha’s dinky swivel-screened MID, the PA-series, isn’t the only unusual rotation happening on the company’s stand at CEATEC.  They’re also showing off this dual-screen beast, currently in prototype form, packing twin 10.1-inch LCDs for some mobile widescreen action.  SlashGear Japan stopped by to grab some live photos for us.

Sony’s final new VAIO announcement this week is the VAIO CW Series, a range of 14-inch 16:9 aspect notebooks available in a series of moderately striking colors.  Chubbier than the VAIO X, certainly, the CW Series uses that extra heft to slide in an optional Blu ray burner together with NVIDIA GeForce GT230M 512MB or GT210M 256MB graphics and both VGA and HDMI ports.

You may remember last month when the numerical oddity that was 9-9-09 came rolling around, Dell teased us with a shot of the corner and profile for the Adamo XPS notebook. The machine was really thin, and that’s about all we could glean from the teaser. Dell is back with more tease and no more information about the Adamo XPS today.

A computer maker from Taiwan called DMP has announced a new notebook that carries a price tag of $100 reports DigiTimes.

If Acer’s Aspire 1410T (aka the Timeline 1810T) took your fancy but you’re a multitouch convert, how about a convertible tablet version of the same ultraportable notebook?  macles have spotted the Acer Aspire Timeline 1820T, ostensibly the same 11.6-inch 1,366 x 768 notebook with an Intel CULV 1.4GHz Core 2 Solo SU3500 processor and 2GB of RAM, but gaining a rotating screen hinge and a multitouch-capable touchscreen.

Laptop bags are an important part of your mobile productivity kit. Without a laptop bag you have to carry your computer by hand, which looks pretty silly honestly. A good laptop bag can also protect your sensitive gear from rain should you be caught outside and from spills.

Dell’s new flagship business notebook, the Latitude Z 600, has gone on sale, and thanks to an online discount its eye-watering $2k sticker has already taken a tumble to $1,799.  That’s still pretty darned high, but in this case it gets you Intel’s Core 2 Duo SU9400 1.4GHz CPU, 2GB of RAM, a 64GB SSD and GMA 4500MHD graphics. Figure on spending close to $400 more if you want Dell’s nifty wireless charging system, however.

Sony Japan have put up a pre-registration page for those rich and weak-armed enough to consider buying their upcoming VAIO X series ultraportable.  The notebook, announced at the beginning of September, is only listed as “coming soon”, and we’re still yet to see final specifications, but Sony have previously confirmed that it will retail “under $2,000″.
