Nokia Lumia 1320 Review

Nokia Lumia 1320 Review

Nokia's Lumia 1520 grabbed the bulk of the headlines at the company's Abu Dhabi event last October, but it wasn't the only phablet the company brought along. In addition to the 6-inch flagship there was another, more affordable phone, the Nokia Lumia 1320, trading some of the high-end specs in favor of mass-market appeal. Question is, with a lower resolution display and the sacrifice of PureView, has Nokia trimmed too much to make the Lumia 1320 a hit? Read on for the full review.

Nokia Android smartphone “Normandy” resurfaces

Nokia Android smartphone “Normandy” resurfaces

Supposing you've had a peek at the Nokia smartphone platform over the past few years, you know good and well two things are true. The first is that Nokia runs either Windows Phone or an odder, smaller operating system called Asha. The second is that the phones made by Nokia are brightly colored, uniquely shaped, and certainly aren't made for Android. This second affirmation seems to be breaking apart at the seams here at the start of 2014.

Nokia Android smartphones dumped: wearables full steam ahead

While the Android Nokia Lumia device dreamed of by hackers and lovers of crossovers alike has been a subject of rumor for some time now, today's news appears to dismiss the final product altogether. Vuzix M2000AR smart glasses debut Nokia hologram AR tech

Vuzix has launched a new rival to Google's Glass, the Vuzix M2000AR HMD, using new Waveguide optics built in partnership with Nokia. Targeted at industrial users, though likely to spawn a consumer version soon, the M2000AR has a 720p display integrated into its monocular lens along with a 1080p camera, integrated head tracking, and a choice of bright monochrome or slightly more subdued full-color screens. According to Vuzix, the hologram-based system it uses is lighter, less bulky, and produces better graphics than the optics regularly used in headsets like Glass.
