If you are a Nokia fan and have been looking forward to the N950 packing MeeGo and a lot more a new video has landed that you might be interested in. The video has a developer showing off the handset and talking about the features and operation (presumably). I say presumably because the video is in Thai and I have no idea what the person is actually saying. All we do know is that the smartphone is handled on the video and you can see what the thing is about even if we can’t understand the language.

New hope for the Nokia and Microsoft partnership came this week with the unveiling of the N9 MeeGo handset and the Windows Phone Mango version of it dubbed the “Sea Ray.” The N950 sports a similar styling but will have a larger screen, slide-out QWERTY keyboard, and be deemed a developer-only device. All in all, a positive week in developments for Nokia, but not so much for RIM. The BlackBerry maker began layoffs this week and further cut back sales estimates of the PlayBook tablet.
Nokia N950 teardown revealed
Back when the Nokia N950 cleared the FCC in mid-May, confidentiality requests meant we couldn't see the guts of what we now know to be the MeeGo developers version of the Nokia N9. With all those details official, however, the full listing has opened up and revealed the teardown shots of what's going on inside the N950. Among the entrails, confirmation that the N950's camera is indeed a 12-megapixel unit, rather than the 8-megapixels in the N9.

Nokia N950 arriving with MeeGo developers now
It seems that the first Nokia N950 units are reaching developers, only days after the MeeGo smartphone was officially announced. Stockholm-based Bambuser, which develops an interactive video streaming service, took to Twitter to confirm their new QWERTY toy had arrived.

Nokia N9 Android app support promised with Alien Dalvik
Nokia may have flagged up the vast number of Qt apps available for the Nokia N9 (and its developer sibling, the N950), but the catalog doesn’t necessarily end there. Myriad has already demonstrated its Alien Dalvik system for running unmodified Android apps on MeeGo devices, developer Steve Troughton-Smith reminded us, as seamless to the end-user as the join between the N9′s display and the polycarbonate housing, and promising the same performance as native software.
Nokia N950 gets video tease
Nokia broke a few hearts when it confirmed the N950 would only be offered to developers rather than going on general sale, leaving consumers with the keyboard-free N9, and watching mobilenet.cz's demo video we can't help but feel disappointed not to have the choice ourselves. Hinging open like the E7, the N950 scores points for great keyboard feel with well-spaced buttons.

Nokia N9 on sale “within a month”?
Nokia would only confirm that the new N9 was on its way sometime in 2011, but according to at least one report it could well be sooner rather than later. A Forbes source close to Nokia revealed that the MeeGo-based N9 would be on store shelves "within a month."

Nokia N950 confirmed for MeeGo devs: 4-inch QWERTY slider
Nokia's N9 certainly looks like the device to reignite complaints over the company bypassing MeeGo, but what if you're a developer and you want some physical QWERTY goodness too? The Nokia N950 developer device has also been quietly announced, a 4-inch LCD TFT 854 x 480 slider with a tilting screen, the same 1GHz OMAP3630 processor and PowerVR SGX530 graphics as the N9, and what we're guessing is a form-factor very similar to the much-leaked photo shown here.
