Nokia Lumia 920 on sale in November tip Euro carriers

Nokia's Lumia 920 Windows Phone 8 smartphone will go on sale in November 2012, according to carrier source whispers, with European availability beginning that month. The Finnish phone company declined to specify exactly when its new flagship would hit shelves, saying only that it was due "later in the year," but according to Reuters various unnamed Euro operators have been quietly confirming the November timeframe. Yesterday saw no lack of accessory reveals for Nokia's incoming Windows Phone 8 devices, the Lumia 820 and 920. It seems that one was left out of the party, though: the new Luna Bluetooth headset, which is naturally recommended for use with Nokia's two new devices. Nokia WP8 Lumia production reportedly in-house; Existing phone prices slashed

Nokia has slashed the price of its existing Windows Phone 7 devices and reportedly plans to take responsibility for manufacturing its new Lumia 920 and 820 models, according to industry whispers. Prices for the Lumia 800 have been slashed by around 15-percent, the biggest cut to the range, according to Reuters' insiders, with talk that the firm has not outsourced production of the new Windows Phone 8 handsets revealed yesterday, but will instead build them in-house. Nokia admits PureView Lumia 920 video fake (but OIS does work)

Nokia has confessed to faking the eye-catching PureView demo video for the freshly announced Lumia 920, admitting it manufactured the stabilization demo but insisting the real thing is just as capable. The “floating lens” 8-megapixel camera on the new Windows Phone 8 flagship was billed as a ground-breaking advance in mobile photography, but closer examination of Nokia’s initial demo footage raised doubts as to its authenticity. Now, Nokia has released a second video, showing exactly what PureView OIS on the Lumia 920 is able to do.

Earlier today, Nokia announced the Lumia 920, which comes complete with a reboot of PureView. During its press event, Nokia gave us a look at the new PureView's main feature: optical image stabilization. PureView rebooted: Nokia shows why Lumia 920 camera is special

Nokia’s new Lumia 920 may not be PureView as we’ve known it, but that doesn’t mean it’s not some darned clever camera technology all the same: think springs in your smartphone for a start.
