Microsoft has addressed hardware complaints about Windows Phone, confirming that Windows Phone 8 will support not only multi-core processors but a range of display sizes. LG Optimus L5 hits Europe this month
The second model from LG's Optimus L-Series, the midrange L5, is set to hit shelves in Europe this month the company has confirmed. Announced at Mobile World Congress back in February, the Optimus L5 has a 4-inch HVGA touchscreen, 800MHz processor and a 5-megapixel autofocus camera with LED flash, in a body that shows no small amount of inspiration from LG's PRADA Phone 3.0.

Samsung S-Pen patent app tips wireless headset stylus plans
Samsung isn't resting on its laurels with the S-Pen for its touchscreen tablets, cooking up a digital stylus that also includes a radio for use as a wireless headset. The next-gen S-Pen, revealed in a new Samsung patent application, would operate as a capacitive stylus for use with regular touchscreens - rather than demanding the sort of active digitizer found in Samsung's Galaxy Note - and as a remote handset over a short-range wireless connection.

Nokia Reaction Bluetooth Headset leaks with NFC and ear-detection
It's not all bad news for Nokia this morning, though whether a swish new Bluetooth headset with NFC pairing is enough to offset 10,000 job losses is questionable. Previewed apparently unofficially via a video on Nokia's YouTube channel, the Nokia Reaction BH-907 Bluetooth Headset supports automatic audio switching between phone and headset along with tap-to-pair with NFC-enabled phones.

Samsung TecTiles hands-on with Galaxy S III
This week before Samsung and their many mobile network partners release the Galaxy S III to the masses, they’ve revealed a brand new addition to the NFC-laden smartphone family: Samsung TecTiles. These lovely little Programmable NFC Tags will allow you to activate apps, share contact information, change your phone’s settings, and more, all of this programmed from a customizable interface you work with from your Galaxy S III smartphone. Each tag can be assigned an action, then when your Galaxy S III is tapped against each tag, its assigned action is performed.
Google reportedly working on Wallet 2.0
While the thought and idea behind Google Wallet is an excellent one, most carriers want nothing to do with Google's mobile payment solution. With only one US carrier launching a device with Google Wallet pre-installed, the rest are seeking other solutions such as Isis for their payment methods. Today however we are hearing talks that Google is reportedly working on Wallet 2.0 to up their game.

HTC Desire C official: ICS and Beats on a budget
HTC has officially revealed its latest Android smartphone, the HTC Desire C, toting Beats Audio and Ice Cream Sandwich for the entry-level market. Based around a 3.5-inch HVGA touchscreen and borrowing some of the micro-drilled style of the One S and One X, the Desire C also has a 5-megapixel camera and will be offered alongside a second, NFC-equipped variant.
Isis solidifies American Express support
The biggest competitor to Google Wallet - and when I say biggest competitor I mean it's going to chew up Google Wallet and spit it out like a piece of bad meat - has just joined forces with American Express to have the three biggest credit card issuers already flipping the switch with its mobile payment platform. Isis, a joint venture between T-Mobile, AT&T, and Verizon, is steadily making its way to a nationwide launch.

VISA President: we’ve “moved beyond” NFC
This morning at the 2nd full day's keynote at CTIA 2012, VISA President John Partridge offered the company's view on how the mobile world will expand in the very near future. In and important step in the story of banking across the earth, mobile banking specifically, 2.5 billion "unbanked" adults across were introduced to mobile banking in the very recent past which has "transformed the lives of millions of people" said Partridge. Samsung Galaxy S III named official Olympics 2012 phone
Samsung's Galaxy S III has been named the official phone of the Olympics 2012, with a special edition of the quadcore behemoth planned packing integrated Visa payWave wireless payments. However, the NFC-toting limited edition Galaxy S III won't be offered to the public, but only provided to Visa-sponsored athletes and trialists, who will be able to charge items and services to their phone with a simple swipe.
