Google ASUS Nexus tablet images leak

This summer it's been reported that Google may be releasing their first official Nexus Tablet, and today we're seeing two images with clues that may lead to its complete leak. These confidential images have been sent to Phone Arena where they've been told that inside you'll find an NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, and Android 4.1. This version of Android would make a whole lot more sense than the rumored Android 5.0 Jelly Bean, especially since only 7% of the Android phones currently out in the world have an upgrade available for Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. , May 30th 2012 Discuss [30]

This week we’ve once again had an above-average amount of tips being pointed directly at the idea that the next Nexus device that will be released by Google will also be made by ASUS. This device will be a tablet, as confirmed by Google’s Eric Schmidt back in January with his “six month window” comment. This device will certainly be an example for Google’s next big operating system update, will more than likely have a 7-inch display, and it will cost users just $149, per an ASUS tip as well as NVIDIA’s own Kai Strategy which takes their quad-core Tegra 3 processor down below $200 USD.

Google Nexus tablet tipped in Samsung codes

, May 14th 2012 Discuss [30]

There’s a whole new wave of evidence this week being revealed by none other than Google that points toward them working with Samsung on the next Android Nexus tablet. This next Nexus tablet will be the first tablet actually branded as “Nexus” but will be the second released in close collaboration with Google made to show off the next big version of Android, the first being the Motorola XOOM tablet which showed off Android 3.0 Honeycomb.

Android 5.0 Jelly Bean tipped by ASUS

There’s a good chance that the next version of Android will be code-named Jellybean, that we already knew – now what we’re hearing from ASUS is that they’re quite likely to be on the list to be first on the market with said operating system. Generally Google chooses one manufacturer to work closely with them to create one of what they call their “Nexus” line of devices to demonstrate a “vanilla” or “virgin” version of their newest operating system. As ASUS now has a close relationship with Google, so says their corporate vice president, they’ll likely be amongst the first to release a device with the update right out of the box.
