Netflix Xbox 360 update adds zoom options and Facebook integration

Netflix for Xbox 360 just received a decently large update this morning with some new features and changes that should make plenty users happy -- if you're an Xbox Live Gold member of course. That brings the total number of people who have made such a move to 2.65 million since 2008. Netflix CEO says he wants to watch HBO Go

In what seems like an unusual turn of events at first glance, the head of Netflix is taking to social media to talk about wanting to access HBO Go, not as a competing company executive but as a normal guy who just likes good entertainment. It's a very weird thing to see Hastings post on Facebook, since he has been very vocal about saying that HBO is Netflix's biggest competitor. Netflix holds tight with DVD.com purchase

With a purchase of the ubiquitous domain name DVD.com, Netflix has this week proven that they'll not be letting go of their DVD-centric business model any time soon. This comes after talk this week that Netflix will continue to set up a wall between DVD and streaming content users, and the company's expansion of their streaming-only library with the original series Hemlock Grove. The company also recently upgraded their iPad application for streaming media with "Retina quality" graphics, but this week will continue their drive with an announcement of the purchase of DVD.com. Netflix Facebook app illegal in the US

However, since then Netflix has released its app to almost every country except the US. Netflix iPad app gets Retina Display upgrade

Netflix for the iPad has been updated to suit the new tablet's Retina Display, with crisper menus, higher-resolution thumbnails and more. The refreshed app also fixes VoiceOver support, Apple's text-to-speech screen access technology, along with improving playback for external displays and various other bugfixes and tweaks.
