Ahead of the upcoming Mobile World Congress, LG has unveiled two new handsets in the F-series, the Optimus F5 and the Optimus F7. These 4G LTE smartphones both feature mid-to-high range specs, and feature both the convenience of QSlide and the functionality of Live Zooming, which was previously only available for Optimus G. Both smartphones will be available worldwide, launching first in Europe.

ZTE and NVIDIA announce world’s first Tegra 4 Super Phone
The world is about to get its first Super Phone working with NVIDIA‘s new Tegra 4 quad-core processor, and the manufacturer of this masterpiece has been announced as ZTE. This will be the first time the Tegra 4 will be available on a smartphone in the world according to ZTE and NVIDIA, with a release time set for somewhere before the half-way point through 2013. This announcement does not include a name for the device, nor many specifications or a price, but it does let loose that one important bit – first ever!
AMD Turbo Dock promises perfect balance for your Win8 hybrid
AMD has revealed Turbo Dock, its latest attempt to broach the tablet and ultraportable markets, with a Jekyll & Hyde APU processor that prioritizes performance when docked and battery life when in slate mode. Set to debut on AMD's Temash SoC this year, Turbo Dock is in effect a dynamic throttling system that boosts CPU and GPU performance by up to 40-percent when a hybrid PC is docked, on the assumption that the user is likely to be doing more system-intensive content creation.

Acer Liquid E1 and Z2 aim for entry-level Android
Acer has outed a pair of new Android smartphones, the Acer Liquid E1 and Liquid Z2, ahead of Mobile World Congress, each running 1GHz processors and targeting the entry-level point of the market. The Liquid E1 is fronted by a 4.5-inch qHD display and will have a dual-SIM option, with a 1GHz dualcore processor, stereo speakers and a 5-megapixel camera with an LED flash. Up front is a VGA-resolution camera, while inside there's WiFi b/g/n and Bluetooth 3.0+EDR.

LG Optimus L7 II, L5 II, and L3 II tackle Android mainstream
Mobile World Congress is still a couple of weeks off, but LG hasn't been able to resist announcing some of its new smartphone line-up ahead of schedule, in the shape of the new Optimus L Series II. The three-strong updated lineup - consisting of the Optimus L7 II, the L5 II, and the L3 II - tidy up their design for 2013, with crisper cuts to the chassis, tighter join-lines, and "smart" lighting on the home button.

HTC M7 final name: “HTC One”
Today it’s been tipped that the HTC marketing team have decided to strip away all the extra nonsense from the name of their next hero device, calling it simply “HTC One.” This naming scheme would have the device take on a brand new level of “hero” mode with a similar strategy to that of Apple when they decided to call the iPad 3 “the New iPad”, with each subsequent iPad simply retaining that one top name. This tip surrounds the device known as the HTC M7, a smartphone that’s been leaked several times before today by several sources including the CEO of HTC himself.

Huawei MWC 2013 press event invite tips Ascend P2 and 8-core CPU
This week Huawei has made their Mobile World Congress 2013 presence official with an invitation to their main event. This event will quite likely continue to reveal the Ascend lineup of smartphones running Android with high definition displays and powerful processors under their respective hoods. We saw the massive Ascend Mate 6.1-inch display-toting beast as well as the lovely Ascend D2 with 5-inch 1080p display at CES 2013, and as it was tipped by Huawei CEO of Consumer Business Group's Richard Yu, the next step may be the Huawei Ascend P2. This device has been suggested to be coming with a processor packing 8 CPU cores.

Samsung Galaxy Q folding smartphone tipped for MWC 2013
This month we may very well be looking at the first market-ready glimpse we'll have of the Samsung Galaxy Q, a dual-display smartphone-like device tipped by the manufacturer more than once before. The clues are lining up with MobileGeeks showing a GL Benchmark result that they suggest is the final straw on the pile that'll topple the whole mess in for a Mobile World Congress 2013 reveal. Samsung 1080p smartphone tipped with Exynos 5
Today appeared to be quite the day for leaks, with the Samsung GT-B9150 coming in most recently with a powerful Exynos 5 processor under the hood and a 1080p display to its name. This device brings on the 1.7GHz A15-based Exynos 5 5250 Dual processor to the game, this being the same massive beast we've seen in the Google Nexus 10 and the Samsung Series 3 Chromebook. This device could be the Samsung Galaxy S IV or it could be a brand new Galaxy Note - at the moment the details are quite scarce and fried with salt, as it were.

HTC M7 revealed by Peter Chou, M4 and G2 detailed
It would appear that HTC has sprung a bit of a leak ahead of their February 19th event that'll likely play host to the devices we've seen today, including first and foremost the HTC M7! While the details surrounding the M7 are still largely unknown, a video has surfaced of none other than HTC's CEO Peter Chou showing the device off to a crowd of users at the HTC Year-End Party in Taipei, going on to help the party chant "M7! M7! M7!" while he takes photos with the smartphone itself.
