This is no joke though, this is wild, crazy, and a completely real instrument. Not for kids! As bizarre instruments go, Rhea Jeong's Pablo's Heart-01 certainly manages to distinguish itself. Looking like a cross between an AK-16 - which the designer claims was a style inspiration - and a particularly skinny electric cello, PB-01 is actually a new performance sampler where audio clips are triggered by playing the physical strings or horn sections of the instrument. Problem is, most of us have neither the funds nor the space for a proper Korg analog synth, and so the company has pushed out its latest iPad app, the Korg iMS-20. Zoom has unveiled their latest digital multi-track recorder, the Zoom R24, which throws not only 24-track playback/8-track simultaneous recording into the mixture but sampler functionality, a USB audio interface for your laptop or desktop computer, a drum machine and a mixing desk.  Capable of running for up to five hours on six AA batteries, complete with providing 48V/24V phantom power to up to six channels, media is stored on SD card (up to 32GB supported) and you can even daisy-chain two R24 units together for 16-track simultaneous recording.
