HP gets touchy with Compaq L2206tm 21.5-inch multitouch monitor

Touch-enabled monitors still aren't easy to find, despite the proliferation of touchscreens on the mobile side of the market. HP has expanded its monitor line with the new Compaq L2206tm, a 21.5-inch LCD panel with multi-touch capabilities. Windows 8 hardware specs confirm CTRL+ALT+DEL is reborn

Microsoft's hardware requirements for Windows 8 devices, including tablets and notebooks, have been detailed, including the rebirth of CTRL+ALT+DEL and how NFC touch-points should be highlighted. Outlined in the recently published Win8 device documentation, Microsoft mandates that tablet PCs and convertible PCs should have at least a screen resolution of 1366 x 768 and a digitizer supporting at least five-point multitouch. x86 machines, meanwhile, must resume in two seconds or less. Razer Blade gaming laptop ships imminently

Gaming device manufacturer Razer has confirmed it will be offering pre-orders on its $2,799.99 Blade uber-notebook within days, with the laptop – that has a touchscreen for easier in-game control – expected to ship in time for Christmas. There’s also been a quiet feature change, CEO Min-Liang Tan informed Kotaku, with a 256GB SSD taking the place of the originally specified 320GB HDD.
