MSI’s X-Slim range is about to get a new screen option, in the shape of the 15.6-inch X600.  Notebook Italia have unboxed the biggest X-Slim in advance of its late-June European launch, finding a laptop that may not be as portable as its smaller siblings, but which is perhaps all the more usable.

We were just talking about the availability of the MSI Wind U123 in the U.S. yesterday, but now it seems the MSI Wind U115 Hybrid is coming to a U.K. shop near you starting today as well, which is pretty good news, if you ask me.

MSI Wind U123 now on sale

If you’ve been interested in a new netbook for quite some time but have been hoping for one to be released that’s within your price range, the MSI Wind U123 , just might be your answer. The computer manufacturer, MSI Computer, has just released their latest netbook and it has quite a bit to offer.

This new netbook sports an Intel Atom 1.66 GHz N280 processor, 1GB of memory and a 160GB hard drive. It also features an ergonomic keyboard for ease of use and a 10.2-inch LCD display.

The U123 comes with EasyFace identification software, and the option of a 6-cell or a 9-cell battery. It’s also available in four different color options including white, grey, red and blue. You can get the MSI Wind U123 starting today for $379.99.

The MSI Wind U200 might look quite a lot like its Atom N270 predecessors, but under the glossy hood there’s a whole load of Celeron ULV SFF 723 goodness going on.  Given that Celeron CPUs have long been the whipping boys of the processor market, that might seem a strange thing to say, but when you’re comparing them to the low-power Atom chips they all of a sudden look more welcome.  NewGadgets.de managed to score a hands-on with the U200, and you can see their video after the cut.

If MSI thought they could rest easy on the back of a good review for their X-Slim X340 ultraportable, they’ve a disappointment coming today.  ZDNet Australia have been playing with the first Intel CULV notebook to the market, and they’re really not impressed.  Ranking the MacBook Air-a-like a mere 5 out of 10, reviewer Craig Simms is most disappointed by the “cheap, nasty and tacky” keyboard.
