MSI Wind U210 packs AMD Neo into 12.1-inch U200 chassis

MSI have prepared another AMD variant of an existing Intel model, in the shape of the Wind U210.  The 12.1-inch thin-and-light notebook is based on the MSI Wind U200, but switches that machine's Intel CULV processor for one from AMD's Yukon range.  Two models will kick off the new U210 series, the MSI Wind U210-002 with the AMD Athlon Neo NV-40 1.6GHz CPU, 1GB of RAM and a 160GB HDD, and the Wind U210-010 with the same CPU, 2GB of RAM and a 250GB HDD.

MSI Bravo EX628 notebook packs Blu-ray, HDMI, 2.1 sound

MSI have pushed out another mainstream notebook, the Bravo EX628, complete with a 16-inch 1,366 x 768 display, Intel Core 2 Duo processor and discrete ATI Mobility Radeon HD4670 graphics.  The company are billing the EX628 as a multimedia maven, with its integrated subwoofer and 16:9 aspect display certainly making for a reasonable performer, plus there's a 1080p-capable HDMI port and Blu ray drive.

MSI X-Slim X610 leaks, is reviewed: slower AMD CPU and reduced runtime over X600

It may look like MSI's X-Slim X600, but this is actually the company's unannounced X-Slim X610.  Ostensibly the same as its early cousin, the X610 differs in switching from Intel's Core 2 Solo SU3500 processor to AMD's 1.6GHz Athlon MV-40 CPU.  According to Russian site 3DNews' review, this cheaper processor will hopefully bring down the whole cost of the X610.

MSI C-Series 16 and 17.3-inch budget notebooks debut

MSI have announced five new notebooks in its C-Series, the 16-inch WXGA CX600, CR600-013 and CR600-017, and the 17.3-inch WXGA++ CX700 and CR700.  Each packs a Pentium Dual Core processor - the T4200 2.0GHz, aside from the CR600-017 which gets the slightly faster T4300 2.1GHz - together with 4GB of RAM and a 320GB hard-drive.

MSI Wind U100 Plus with Atom N280 finally shipping

The long-awaited refresh of the MSI Wind U100, the U100 Plus, is tipped to be finally approaching shipping status, around four months since the netbook was announced.  The U100 Plus takes the chassis and general specifications of the original netbook - the 10-inch 1024 x 600 display, the 160GB hard-drive and the 1GB of RAM - and swaps out the Atom N270 processor for the slightly faster 1.66GHz N280 chip.
