Sony’s Flex OLED Walkman concept shows up on video

CES 2009: iRiver Mickey PMP

iRiver’s Mickey PMP is something of a novelty compared to other mediaplayers from the company, but the iPod shuffle rival does manage to endear itself in-person. Available in pink or sky-blue with 2GB of storage for your audio files, the Disney-branded MP3 player has LED eyes that indicate volume, playback and other status details, together with expressions.

Samsung’s P3 ready to battle the iPod Touch

Samsung is showing off its new touchscreen media player, the P3. From the looks of it, the P3 seems to be positioning itself as a challenger to the iPod Touch. New Sony Walkman doesn’t look like a Walkman

It seems that Sony adopted a few ideas from other music devices when creating the W-series Walkman. The “all-in-one” concept likely came from those big, bulky FM radio headsets, and the “no display” idea probably came from the iPod Shuffle.
