DC Comics’ next big movie will star Booster Gold

The effect Guardians of The Galaxy has had on the big movie business becomes more apparent each new oddball movie that's announced. Today, that movie has two superheroes by the names Booster Gold and Blue Beetle. Unless you read DC comic books regularly - and have spanned off into the strange worlds of justice league affiliates aplenty - you might not know Booster Gold or Blue Beetle. But we do. Thanks to the cartoon series Batman: The Brave and The Bold, we know Blue Beetle and Booster Gold all too well!

Pacific Rim 2 movie has been halted, may be cancelled

In October 2013, we heard word that a Pacific Rim sequel had been written thanks to an outpouring of fandom for the flick, and that it was just awaiting a green light to enter the official production stage. A little while later that greenlight was given, and it was announced that Pacific Rim 2 would be hitting theaters in April 2017. Unfortunately, things have changed and the sequel has been delayed indefinitely.

EPIX’s app allows downloading movies for offline viewing

EPIX has just recently parted ways with Netflix due to differences in vision. That vision is now taking the network directly to mobile, where it will practically be putting it at odds with Netflix agian. And probably with some EPIX's new distribution partners as well. EPIX will soon be launching a mobile app that not only will give direct access to its long list of blockbuster films and comedy videos, but will also allow users to download that content on their device for watching later, even without an Internet connection.

Video shows Star Wars Prequels “rhyme” with original trilogy

A video showing the intense visual similarities between the original Star Wars trilogy and each successive prequel has been released. This video was made by a creator by the name of "whoispablo", a rather big Star Wars fan and certainly someone who isn't part of the "We hate the Prequels" club. Here you'll see George Lucas suggest of the prequels: "you see the echo of where all is gonna go. It's like poetry, they rhyme", followed by proof.

Latest Star Wars The Force Awakens photos show tiniest details

Today we've been passed a set of photos and cut-out images from Star Wars: The Force Awakens, most of them new to our eyes. These images will be used in merchandise for the film in the near future - you might even see some of these pictures popping up in stores near you on products like posters and wall-clings later this month. For now though, what better way to make use of the lot of them than to hyper-analyze and otherwise turn the lot into wallpapers for your phone and tablet?

100 day Star Wars The Force Awakens countdown begins in 3D

Depending on where you're living in the world, you're either hours or minutes away from the 100-day countdown 'till the release of the next Star Wars movie. To celebrate the occasion, it would seem, the folks at RealD 3D have revealed four sets of official Star Wars 3D glasses. RealD is the licensor of the stereoscopic 3D technology most likely in a theater near you. If you've ever gone to a 3D movie with a pair of black glasses (not red and blue), you've probably done so using RealD technology. Now they've gone fully Star Wars crazy.

C-3PO’s red arm explained in a new Marvel Comic

C-3PO’s red arm explained in a new Marvel Comic

This December (before Star Wars: The Force Awakens, we must assume), C-3PO's red arm will be explained in a comic book. Made by Marvel Comics and coming with a bonus digital edition with purchase, this comic will be a one-shot. That means it's not necessarily going to be a super long comic series - just a limited set. The comic goes by the name Star Wars Special: C-3P0 #1, and it'll be written by a fellow who's especially pumped up to be telling the tale.

Mega Man movie in the works from Fox and Capcom

It looks like The Blue Bomber himself is gearing up to hit the big screen. It's been revealed that game developer Capcom is working with 20th Century Fox and Chernin Entertainment to develop a Mega Man movie. While gamers should long know by now to be cautiously optimistic at best when it comes to video games being adapted into movies, the fact that the owners of the Mega Man franchise are involved could be interpreted as a positive sign.
