If it feels like a long time since you first saw the Hillcrest Labs Loop Pointer, that’s because it has been.  We first spotted the motion-sensitive ring controller back in November 2006, but the company has only now released it for direct consumer purchase.  Your money gets you a wireless controller with four buttons and a scroll-wheel, that you tilt and gesture with to control your HTPC or presentation.

eleadE-LEAD has revealed a new product called the Bluetooth Lazy Pad and for the life of me, I can’t figure out what’s so lazy about it. I mean, it combines two things–a keyboard and mouse–into one device. That’s pretty hard-working, if you ask me.

But I digress. The Lazy Pad allows you to connect wirelessly to your laptop by means of a Bluetooth connection. But for those of you who lack this function, you can connect using the USB port as well.

Featuring a 500mAh battery, this gizmo is capable of 8 hours of usage. My only real complaint here is the device is kind of oddly designed. It looks like it can fold but obviously can’t. Also, where’s the mouse? I guess the whole thing is the mouse? And it works like a remote control of sorts? Either way, interesting gadget and might be worth checking out if you hate your laptop’s trackpad.

It may look odd, but this ergonomic keyboard promises to free up your desk from the tyranny of your mouse.  Well, from the tyranny of a separate mouse, anyway; the handiwork of an Australian inventor, the Combimouse turns the right-side of the keyboard into the mouse itself, using cleverly placed contacts to figure out when you’re trying to use it to to control your cursor.

PSP Mouse hack [Video]

By Chris Davies on Tuesday, May 5th 2009 No Comments

As gaming mods go, adding a mouse to the Sony PSP will either make perfect sense or seem just plain stupid, depending on the type of games you play and whether you do that near a table or not.  Either way, it’s a neat trick to fool the PSP (the USB port of which doesn’t support USB-host) into recognizing the mouse; that’s what one gamer has done
