European retailer Phone House - aka the European arm of Carphone Warehouse - has thrown up pricing information for the incoming batch of Android 3.0 tablets. The XOOM, ASUS Eee Pad, LG Optimus Pad and Acer Iconia Tab A100 have all been spotted in the retailer's online catalog by AndroidGeek, with no release dates bar "coming soon." Read The Full Story

Sprint Motorola XOOM spotted: 4G WiMAX inside?

Motorola's XOOM has been caught in the wild apparently wearing Sprint branding, more indication that the carrier expects to launch its own version of the Android 3.0 Honeycomb slate. Leaked by SprintUsers' r0fl, the slate has no 3G or 4G branding; however, rumors yesterday suggested that Sprint was readying both a WiMAX-equipped XOOM and a WiMAX version of the Motorola ATRIX 4G. Staples dates Motorola XOOM WiFi release [Update: UK details]

Motorola's XOOM WiFi - the much-anticipated 3G-free version of the Android 3.0 Honeycomb tablet - is now expected on March 27, thanks to information spotted on a Staples flyer. Scanned by Droid Life, the flyer suggests the XOOM WiFi will be $599.98 when it hits shelves. That's the same as Verizon's subsidized price for the XOOM 3G - albeit with a new, two-year data agreement - and $200 less than the unsubsidized XOOM 3G. Read The Full Story

Samsung Galaxy Tab WiFi-Only Version To Ship April 4 For $399?

The long awaited Samsung Galaxy Tab may finally be on its way. Well, at the least the WiFi-only version, if what's purported to be a flyer handed out by a Samsung rep is true. Flash Player 10.2 for Motorola XOOM due March 18

Adobe has announced that the Flash Player 10.2 update for Android 3.0.1 Honeycomb tablets such as the Motorola XOOM will be released on March 18. Made available through the Android Market, as with the current Flash Player 10.1 release for Android smartphones, the updated version will be the production version for Android 2.2 and 2.3 devices and the beta for Honeycomb slates. Motorola confirms XOOM 4G LTE update even for rooted tablets

After concerns that rooting the Motorola XOOM would leave owners of the tablet ineligible for Verizon's 4G LTE upgrade later in the year, the manufacturer has stepped in to reassure would-be buyers that they can hack their toys and still get high-speed access. According to the official Motorola support forums, the company promises that XOOM slates that have had "the original factory software reinstalled" and have been "relocked" will be updated as normal, while it will "attempt to complete the upgrade" on those returned rooted.
