There's a new feature in Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich that has quite a few people having a heard attack with glee - the ability to "hide" applications that you'd otherwise not be able to get rid of. These apps are generally calls bloatware because they're added to the basic build of the device and cannot be deleted by the user (unless of course they hack the device.) What this new function will bring is the ability to shut these apps out of your device ALMOST entirely - save for the amount of space they take up in a very rudimentary sense. What you might not know is that both the Motorola DROID RAZR and the DROID BIONIC both have this ability already - no Ice Cream Sandwich required!

Verizon: 2m iPhone 4 sales, iPhone 4S demand still huge

Verizon has announced its Q3 2011 financial results, confirming that around two million iPhone 4 handsets were activated during the three month period, and revealing that first-day iPhone 4S sales were so strong that the carrier still lacks stock. Of the 5.6m smartphones Verizon sold in Q3, over half ran Android; that contrasts with AT&T's figures from earlier in the week, where the iPhone continued to monopolize smartphone sales.

Motorola DROID RAZR visits FCC with Verizon LTE with global GSM

Timed perfectly, the Motorola DROID RAZR's FCC approval papers showed up just after the big unveiling announcement today in NYC. The FCC filling reveals that the DROID RAZR packs support for not only Verizon's CDMA, EVDO, and LTE frequencies, but also global GSM 850 and 1900 bands as well as WCDMA II and V bands that could potentially make it the first Verizon LTE device to support worldwide roaming.
