The folks at Motorola have had their next Android device leaked, it appearing to have Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich onboard and tipped to be running an Intel-Powered Medfield processor powering it. This device has many hardware details appearing like the DROID RAZR and the DROID 4 that've been released just recently, a power button, volume up/down, and physical camera button all on the right side. This device would be the second device revealed to have the Medfield chip aboard, the first shown by Lenovo at CES 2012. Read The Full Story

Motorola takes on Google Nexus with RAZR Developer Edition

Motorola is taking on Google's Galaxy Nexus at its own game, courting Android coders with a Developer Edition variant of its own RAZR smartphone. The RAZR XT910 Developer Edition is functionally identical to the existing GSM RAZR, but will come supplied with an unlocked bootloader so as to make installing unofficial firmware builds possible. However, in return, Motorola will withhold the warranty, so if users brick their phone they're on their own. Read The Full Story

DROID RAZR MAXX on sale now

The Motorola DROID RAZR MAXX is on sale now, as expected, with Verizon asking $299.99 for the battery-bloated Android smartphone. Droid RAZR MAXX is a slap in consumer faces

When the original Droid RAZR was released, we were there at the launch event in New York City to see how serious both Motorola and Verizon were about bringing a new era to their combined forces for Droid – now that the next version is out not even a half a year later, I’ve got to question their logic. What sense did it make to release a device which was amongst the thinnest smartphones in the world if the battery inside it wasn’t going to be equitable in excellence? Of course the answer is that there’d be a marketing scheme several months after the release in which the thinness was no longer the coolest factor, the RAZR MAXX having a battery that should very well blow consumers away.

Verizon has confirmed pricing and availability for the Motorola DROID RAZR MAXX, the oversized-battery toting version of the original slimline Android smartphone revealed at CES 2012 earlier this month. The news - that the DROID RAZR MAXX will land on January 26, priced at $299 with a new, two-year agreement - comes as little surprise, however, since Motorola already spoiled the surprise a couple of weeks back. Verizon has slashed the price of its DROID RAZR, the super-slim Android smartphone now $199.99 with a new agreement, though you'll have to supply your own memory card. Verizon users see third December data downtime: are you connected?

, Dec 28th 2011 Discuss [24]

We've seen several downtimes this month in just about the least opportune time for Verizon of the entire year, this most recent downtime (today) being just between Christmas and the New Year, without a doubt a time when masses of everyday citizens are on holiday break and would rather be browsing the web than doing their post-Yule cleanup. Users from everywhere, from San Francisco to New York City, are experiencing downtimes in data and are pointedly noting 4G LTE to be the pressure point for this outage. Verizon has confirmed this status and tells us to remain warm. Read The Full Story

DROID RAZR in white comes tomorrow – can you guess why?

, Dec 14th 2011 Discuss [9]

Though it may seem like an exercise in foolish re-reporting to speak on this white version of the DROID RAZR again when we announced it earlier this month, it's availability for tomorrow (the 15th of December) should strike you hard enough to bring about a bit more buzz than this device otherwise would. Since the DROID RAZR was released in its original black/gray form last month (our full review able to be found here), another color for the casing of this device is essentially just a paint job on the same cool sharpness: but besides the OTHER device you're more than likely aware is almost certainly coming to Verizon tomorrow, recognize this: the DROID XYBOARDs are being cross-promoted with this handset as a "one-two punch of media mastery and multitasking might."
