Motorola XPRT Officially Announced in NYC

What you're about to see is not an illusion. While it may look to you like the device you're seeing is the DROID Pro, you'd be mistaken. This instead is the Motorola XPRT, a device that's essentially the exact same device with a few tiny differences in the hardware. Where the device carried previously by Verizon had a 1420 mAh and an OK but not perfect amount of uptime, this new version contains a much more generous 1860mAh battery for a larger amount of time between charges. Then the keyboard is a tiny bit different from the device you've seen in the past, and the corners have a slightly different roundness to them.

Droid Pro Review

Android devices may be storming the market in terms of sheer numbers but, with a few unusual exceptions, most manufacturers have stuck to basic touchscreen candybars or horizontal QWERTY sliders. Has Motorola beaten RIM at its own game, or is the DROID PRO a form-factor footstep too far? Check out the full SlashGear review after the cut.

Verizon “Iconic Device” due Nov 9: CDMA iPhone 4 or Motorola DROID Pro? [Updated]

A leaked internal Verizon screenshot tipping an incoming "Iconic Device" has got the CDMA iPhone flag-wavers out in force again, though the carrier's wording is still suitably inconclusive.  TUAW were sent the picture, which seemingly promises Verizon employees that as of November 9th they'll be able to offer customers pre-sales for a "high demand" handset.

The Droid Pro – Is it a BlackBerry Killer?

Motorola announced last evening several new Android devices. With this move Motorola indicated their support for Android and their desire to be aggressive with releasing Android devices that focus on certain markets and specific customer needs. Motorola Droid Pro for Verizon Announced, Due in the Coming Weeks

At tonight's CTIA event, Motorola took some time out of their busy schedule to announce the Motorola Droid Pro. While it may not look like the other Droid-based products that have launched on Verizon, from either Motorola or HTC, it's definitely got the feature set to warrant the title. Featuring a candy-bar style, "BlackBerry-esque" look, along with a capacitive touchscreen atop the full QWERTY keyboard, the Droid Pro will stand out amongst the crowd.
