Developers finally unlocked bootloaders for many Motorola phones

The time has come. Motorola owners can rejoice because developers have finally unlocked the bootloaders to a good number of Motorola's devices. So far, it's been confirmed that the DROID RAZR HD, DROID RAZR MAXX HD, DROID RAZR M, and Atrix HD are all able to have their bootloaders unlocked. It was Dan Rosenberg who accomplished the impossible, and the method was tested out by two other developers to confirm its validity.

Back when Motorola announced the DROID RAZR HD and the DROID RAZR M, it made a commitment to upgrading the majority of its phones to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. When it made this commitment, the company said that it would give users who didn't get updated $100. Naturally, no one was expecting Motorola to upgrade all of its handsets to Jelly Bean, and today, the company revealed a list of phones that will qualify for the $100 rebate.

US Cellular brings Motorola Electrify 2 and Defy XT to the hardcore public

It's time to get hardcore on the Motorola tip with your favorite 5th-place carrier in the United States, US Cellular. There are two new devices being revealed this week, the first being the Electrify 2, a Motorola device that takes everything that's great about Motorola's newest line of RAZR and ATRIX devices and puts it in a slightly different casing. The second device is a rough-and-tumble smartphone by the name of Defy XT, another Motorola smartphone that looks rather similar to the Defy, a Motorola smartphone sold by T-Mobile.

Motorola Atrix HD Review

It's time to get a bit of an upgrade in the world of the Atrix brand, this time with the Atrix HD, with Motorola bumping up the line with a next-generation processor, one of the most HD displays on earth, and a sleek new look. The front of the device has a lovely curved-edged pane of reinforced Gorilla Glass, the sides are white and black hard plastic, and the back is no less than a DuPont Kevlar fiber. The whole device has a splash-guard coating, inside you've got Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, and Motorola's cool new user interface that's full of color.

AT&T Motorola Atrix HD hands-on and unboxing

This week we've got the newest version of Motorola and AT&T's line of powerful smartphones, this time dubbed Atrix HD due to its ultra high resolution display. This device also runs on AT&T's 4G LTE network and closely resembles the device on Verizon known as the DROID RAZR. Here we've got a white casing surrounding a lovely curved-edges-having reinforced glass-covered display that's no less than 329 PPI, that being a resolution that's only beaten by 3 other devices on the market today, none of them having the build that this one does. In addition, Motorola is letting us know that they've dubbed this device as having 720p HD ColorBoost technology - we'll see how that plays out soon enough. For now, we sure as heck know it's bright.

This week the Motorola ATRIX HD has been revealed for AT&T's 4G LTE network with a massively high definition display and a dual-core processor under the hood. This device enters the ranks of the top 10 highest-definition display-having devices on the market at 329 PPI, only being beaten by the HTC Rezound, Sony XPERIA S, and LG LU1400 (a strange swivle-screen smartphone from 2008), and matching the LG Nitro HD - and yes, it beats the iPhone 4/4S. That's 1280 x 720 pixel resolution over a lovely 4.5-inch display that Motorola touts as 720p HD ColorBoost.

AT&T Motorola Atrix HD gets official [UPDATE: Pulled!]

Motorola's Atrix HD has been officially revealed, showing up on the company's site with a 4.5-inch 1280 x 720 HD Colorboost display, LTE, and a 1.5GHz dual-core processor. The new Ice Cream Sandwich smartphone has an 8-megapixel camera on the back and a 1.3-megapixel front camera, along with Motorola's own SMARTACTIONS software on top of Android 4.0. [UPDATE] This device has been pulled from Motorola's site for now, but expect it soon through our Motorola Atrix HD portal!
