The iGlaze Kameleon looks and feels extremely similar to the basic iGlaze collection with its cut-out circle set for a full Apple logo peek-a-boo. You’ve also got full access to each of your ports, switches, and your camera and flash. Best of all (and required for a people such as we), this case does not place any casing around the headphone jack – or at least the closest casing isn’t going to interfere with our headphone plugs. That’s vital for the on-the-go headphone wearer and/or hard-wired car audio lover.

Understated fashion is what we’re talking about here, and the kickstand sticks with the theme. You’ve got the Moshi name/logo sitting near the end of the tail while the bulk of the stand is a perfectly simple flat aluminum, just ever-so-slightly darker than the rim of your iPhone 5. There’s also a protective “skin” included in the package that adheres to your iPhone 5′s back before you add your iGlaze Kemeleon case – the case attaches on its own, while the skin helps protect the logo of your iPhone through the revealed logo hole. Another case we’ve just gotten our first chance to take a peek at is made for the iPad mini and called “concerti”. This case is made of a hybrid silicone / microfiber inner casing for shock and scratch protection, and includes magnets for Smart Cover functionality. Close it up like a book and your iPad mini falls asleep, pull the elastic band around from the back to keep the whole case closed. This case also stands up and several angels and allows you full access to your back-facing camera, even when the case is folded backward.

The concerti for iPad mini case will run you $45.00 USD and is available right this minute from Moshi. The iGlaze Kameleon is also available now from Moshi and will cost you a cool $49.95. Interestingly enough, you can also use Moshi’s own “Xen Credits” for these purchases, these being points you earn from Moshi for special events and through your friends adding your name to their purchases upon payment – wild stuff!

Digits features a new solution for glove-wearing touchscreen-loving individuals with what they call GripTalk – this is a silicone pattern that sits inside of each glove for both right and left-handed users, this working well with the gloves’ microfleece inner lining. Available in both dark gray and light gray – hot!

Next there’s the iGlaze for MacBook Pro with Retina Display. This unit you’ll recognize from our iGlaze for MacBook Air and iPad 3 review from earlier this year. This is a precision-tooled polycarbonate hardshell case made to be durable, lightweight, thin, and “nearly scratch-proof.” So they say. It’s actually rougher and tougher than you’ll be able to break through, they’re mostly just saying that just IN CASE you come in contact with a lightsaber.

Finally there’s the Overture, a fabulous protective case for the iPhone 5. This unit works with “all the functionalities of a slim wallet” including three slots for ID, transport, and credit cards as well as a full-length inner pocket for storage galore. This case comes with a “Neato” brand detachable and washable microfiber pad for cleaning the iPhone’s display. This case is made with a strong polycarbonate frame and lined with Moshi’s own proprietary Terahedron microfiber for fabulous protection.

The folks at Spigen SGP have come correct time after time after time this year with accessories that several SlashGear editors are still currently using on the regular. We saw winners everywhere from the Crumena leather pouch for the HTC One X to the double-dose of Galaxy S III cases that just started the flood. What Spigen SGP really brings the fire with – and something we basically guarantee will make your gift-opener say “oh this is weird and awesome” is the glass cover collection. It’s literally a pane of glass that protects the glass that’s already protecting your smartphone’s display – have a peek at our experience with the GLASt for iPad as well as the GLASt and Ultimate Class for iPhone 4S, not to mention the brand new GLAS.tR for iPhone 5 – they make a beastly collection of Galaxy S III screen protectors as well – thick and curved, even!

Also for the iPhone 5 as well as the 4 and 4S you’ll want to peek at the super odd and undeniably cute LOOP Mummy case – out for iPhone 5 immediately if not soon, mind you. For the pop-top bottle lovers out there – root beer, of course – there’s intoxicase with built-in cap opener. The most unique back-plate protection we saw this year has to have been the SkinIt etched metal plate for the back of the iPhone 4S – weird and wild! Both the Acradie and the Element Case Vapor Dock are iPhone accessories you’ll not know how you lived without, and the lovely Brookstone HDMI Pocket Projector for your iOS devices will bring you hours of giant projected light joy.

As for the iPad and its accessory collection that simply does not stop, you’ll want to start with the most hardcore carrying case that exists for the beast – the G-Form Extreme Portfolio Case complete with massive drop-tests from many stories up above the surface of the earth. The folks at Griffin have been working with the designers at Threadless to create some lovely iPad cases too – though not exactly outer-space ready, if you’re in to that sort of thing. Both the Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard Cover and the Brookstone Bluetooth Keyboard Pro for iPad have been treating us well throughout the year. If you’re just in the market for a unique sort of stand for your tablet (and it doesn’t just have to be the iPad), you’ll want to check out the Octa iPad Whale Tail kit.

Another special mention goes out to Moshi, a brand we first laid eyes on earlier this year at CTIA 2012. The folks at Moshi create both accessories and stand-alone products that enhance your mobile experience as well as your notebook action, with everything from clear cases for your MacBook Air and iPad to a versatile collection of iPhone 5 cases of all shapes and sizes. They’re responsible for what was easily the most unique case/cover combo with the iGlaze Versacover for iPad – complete with magnets – and they’ve even got under-MacBook cooling fans, too – and they work well!

First with the Concerti you’ve got a portfolio case for your iPad mini, made to allow you “dozens” of adjustable viewing angles and protection for your device. The case is made of a hybrid combination of silicone and a microfiber inner case for shock protection as well as scratch protection. There’s a built-in magnet for smart wake-up and sleep, and there’s a hole in the back made for your full ability to take photos.

The iVisor XT and AG are two of the most lovely “bubble-proof” washable screen protectors you’re ever going to come across. These screens have a special concoction on the back – polymer-based adhesive, that is – that allows unlimited cleaning/reapplication cycles. It’s kind of like magic. The AG version is “anti-glare” while the XT retains the glossy finish of the iPad mini in its non-covered state.

VersaCover (seen at the top of this post) is the boss of all iPad covers with a unique oragami-style fold with magnets and smart-cover abilities. You can close and open like the standard smart cover from Apple, but instead of just folding up in a triangle, you go 3D in configurations that will have you folding just for fun. This case also has a polycarbonate back cover that protects the whole of your device.

These products are all targeted for the end of Q4 2012 – hopefully before the holiday season, if you know what I mean!

With the Origo you’ve got a dual-tone case that absorbs shock with a design that’s inspired by none other than Mother Nature. Without adding bulk, the honeycomb design here makes for a protectant that you’ll be able to trust – complete with hybrid injection silicone for the bounce that you’d normally be terrified of. This case includes a backside buffer film for additional protection against scratches as well.

The Origo is made with a specialized coating that Moshi promises will minimize lint and hair buildup while it offers extra grip – that’s rare. This case will run you $25 USD and is available in black and white – fun stuff!

The iGlaze is what Moshi calls “understated protection” in that it accentuates the look of the iPhone 5, shielding it without knocking out the Apple-perfected design of the device. Just like the Origo, all of the buttons and ports on the device are perfectly accessible with functionality unaffected by the case. This case also includes a backside buffer film for added scratch protection and the whole package will run you $30 USD. This case comes in black, white, red, blue, purple, pink, beige and clear/XT – the last one is our favorite!

The reason I chose this specific cover for my MacBook Air was its extremely thin profile and fully transluscent makeup. My MacBook Air comes with my to all trade events, interviews, and the like, so it ends up getting covered with stickers along the way. Because I do not always provide my computer with the most caring of attitudes and because I want to still be able to see the stickers no matter what, this case seemed quite perfect for my situation.

So I pulled it out of the box and applied the top piece first – it snapped on in less than 30 seconds with extreme ease.

Then I attached the bottom piece – it also snapped on with essentially no effort whatsoever. This case features no markings outside the TINY Moshi logo in the corner which sits on your lower right-hand side if the notebook is closed and facing you. It also has four bumpers that are more than equitable to the bumpers the MacBook Air has without its cover on so you’re still not skidding around no matter what.

This same brand-line of case exists for the iPad 3 from Moshi. This case snaps on in the same ultra-simple manner and provides just as much coverage as the MacBook Air cover, all with the same amount of transparency in either case. Both of these cases are both extremely low-profile and super protective as they are made with a strong mix of plastic. These cases are made with slightly different kinds of plastic, with the MacBook Air having a bit less of a reflectiveness to it, but each one is just as awesome as the other in the protection department.

Start your journey down accessories way with none other than the folks who brought you the PowerBag with the myCharge extended battery lineup 2012 refresh in full hands-on fashion. A brand new company you’re going to want to keep your eyes on is NEXGEN Skins for their dimensional gadget coverings of all kinds – a completely new solution! During the second of two big keynote presentations, VISA President John Partridge brought on the accessories talk as he announced that they’d “moved beyond” NFC for their mobile payments across the earth – they’ll still use NFC of course, but it’s bigger than all that!

One device that sort of bridges the gap between device and accessory is the Jabra Supreme UC Bluetooth headset with its flip-up microphone and noise cancellation in droves. Energizer brought on some multi-power chargers with clamps and lights. On the truly thin side, Digipower ChargeCard mini powerpacks stole the mini side of the show.

In what was easily the most impressive display of the show, Tech21 and their “Impactology” brought on a hammer to the goo – and tossed an iPhone against a wall to boot! The fashion forward folks at Moshi brought the Moshi iGlaze Versacover to the show to show everyone what it means to take an Apple design to the next level – believe it or not!

Otterbox brought their A-game with a collection of new cases for the HTC One series and DROID Incredible 4G the same day it was announced! AT&T brought us to a house where they had a whole array of accessories brought together to form the Voltron of home automation systems: AT&T Digital Life in person! SuperTooth came on strong with some brand new SuperTooth Bluetooth Melody Headphones in a lovely shade of purple.

We saw a cool new in-car Clarion Next Gate iPhone dashboard controller with tap-tastic features onboard a 7-inch display. The folks at HzO Waterblock Hydrophobic smartphone coatings showed us what it really means to be waterproof. And the hits just kept on coming!
