Minecraft headed to PlayStation 4: Notch-gifted Golden PSOne a success

As the multi-platform gaming title Minecraft continues to expand in popularity with web browser, mobile, and console-based block-building action, today Sony announced the continuation of the title for PlayStation 4. This game will not be entirely exclusive to the console, coming in a Minecraft: Xbox One Edition from Mojang Studios with the launch of the Xbox One this holiday season, but it will have unique content. As it is with the developed-in-part-with-Microsoft Minecraft for Xbox One, so too shall the Sony-aimed Minecraft, ready for release by the time the console is out in stores: November 15th, 2013.

Minecraft developers tease Scrolls, open beta begins June 3

After the success that was Minecraft, the game's developer Mojang is at it again with a new game. However, they're taking a different approach this time around. Instead of making a pixelated sandbox-world title, they're teasing what looks to be a Magic-esque game that has some really good cartoonish graphics. Scrolls, as it's called, has been given a launch date and the public beta is coming next month.

Minecraft 1.8.2 update hits Xbox 360 tomorrow

Get ready, Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition players, because you've got a massive update headed your way. Update 1.8.2 is scheduled to launch tomorrow, and it adds a ton of new stuff for you to see and do. Ever since Notch announced that he was handing off the main development duties on Minecraft to Jens Bergensten, Mojang fans have been waiting with bated breath to see what he'll do next.
