Minecraft players on Xbox 360 are about to take a pretty significant step up with title update 7. Recently detailed on PlayXBLA.com, title update 7 for Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition brings the game up to PC version 1.0.1, so there are plenty of noteworthy additions with this release. Unfortunately, The End won't be featured in title update 7, with players being forced to wait until title update 8 to take on the Ender Dragon.

Welcome to Friday evening, everyone. Today was a pretty big day in the world of tech, with both Windows 8 and Microsoft Surface launching and the iPad mini going up for pre-order. Microsoft was actually handing out £50 coupons to the Microsoft Store for giving those in the UK who pre-ordered a Surface conflicting messages about when it will ship, and the company even managed launch Xbox Smartglass for Android alongside Surface and Windows. Microsoft said it will be giving Windows 8 Pro users a free upgrade to Media Center, while Steven Sinofsky talked up the company's new products, managing to get a couple of shots in at Apple at the same time.

Minecraft Xbox 360 gets 55 Halloween skins, proceeds go to charity
Tis the seasons for ghouls, ghasts, and perhaps most importantly, candy. Halloween is right around the corner, and to celebrate, Mojang and 4J studios have released a pack of 55 Halloween-themed skins for Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition. Minecraft 1.8.2 update hits Xbox 360 tomorrow
Get ready, Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition players, because you've got a massive update headed your way. Update 1.8.2 is scheduled to launch tomorrow, and it adds a ton of new stuff for you to see and do. PlayXBLA originally reported an October 16 launch date for update 1.8.2, which was later confirmed by 4J Studios, the developer that handled the porting duties when Mojang decided it was time to bring Minecraft to the Xbox 360.
