Sprint MiFi 2200 mobile hotspot unboxed

Sprint weren’t going to let Verizon get all the MiFi 2200 EVDO Rev.A mobile hotspot love, and so sent over their version of the Novatel modem for SlashGear to take a look at.  Since both units are, technically, identical, there’s no surprise as to what the Sprint MiFi is: a battery powered EVDO modem, capable of sharing out its connection to up to five WiFi devices.

Sprint MiFi 2200 EVDO hotspot announced

Sprint have announced that they too will be offering the Novatel Wireless MiFi 2200 "Intelligent Mobile Hotspot", expected to launch on Verizon's network come May 17th.  As with the Verizon version, the Sprint MiFi 2200 will share its EVDO Rev.A data connection with up to five WiFi clients; it will also offer access to the hotspot's GPS functionality, something the Verizon version does not.   Read The Full Story

Verizon MiFi 2200 mobile EVDO Rev.A hotspot announced

Verizon have officially launched their own personal internet gateway, the MiFi 2200 Intelligent Mobile Hotspot.  First tipped back in March, the Verizon MiFi 2200 is based on Novatel’s MiFi device and packs an EVDO Rev.A 3G connection into a battery powered WiFi b/g router.  That means users can share the mobile broadband hook-up with up to five WiFi devices at the same time.

Novatel MiFi 2352 Euro GSM debuts at ShowStoppers

Novatel Wireless have announced the European GSM version of their MiFi personal HSPA/WiFi hotspot device, the MiFi 2352.  Combining an HSDPA/HSUPA chipset capable of 7.2Mbps downlink and 5.76Mbps uplink, together with a WiFi link which can simultaneously connect to up to five devices.
