Steve Ballmer reported today that Microsoft SYNC is now in 1 Million Ford company vehicles, including Ford Fusions, Focuses, and even Lincoln MKS luxury sedans. The Bluetooth integration features that SYNC provides gives drivers wireless and even voice control over their phones and mp3 players. I personally enjoyed using SYNC during my test drive in California and Microsoft has a winning product here. Obviously since they’ve just achieved 1 million units.

Ford gave me the keys to a really nice Lincoln MKS. You can check out the first part of my experience here. In today’s video, I demonstrate the music functionality and call features of Microsoft SYNC in the Lincoln MKS. The car was fun to drive, and all of the technology features made for endless fun as I downloaded phone books and talked to the car and told it to change tracks. Doris (the name I gave the female voice in the car) responded very well and SYNC was able to pick up my commands without a problem.

In addition to the daunting task of testing out a FyreTV, I was also given the assignment of test driving a Lincoln MKS on my vacation in California. Yes, I am that dedicated. The Lincoln MKS is the mid-size luxury sedan with all of the fixings. Hand-stitched leather seating, duel climate control, a powerful engine, All Wheel Drive, and most importantly (to this publication anyway) Microsoft Sync and the GPS.
