This is a design straight out of the concept books of both Peter Vardai and Tamas Fodor, both of whome have brought to life this magnificent machine for the world to get their TRON on in. It seems like this TRON fad has become a movement as the movie itself is leaving theaters yet concepts keep popping up. The goal of the designer of this project (Vardai) was to both reinforce the emotions people feel toward the Mercedes brand and bring their eyes up and out forward toward the future. Light strips on black sides will do that!
Concept cars are meant to look fantastic. They're a shining image, or model, of what car company's have planned for the years to come. It's unfortunate that most of those concepts are never brought to life, especially when they look as unique, and as awesome as this Mercedes-Benz Biome concept car does. Just one look, and this is a vehicle that you'd want to drive. But, it's when you get into the details of the vehicle, that things great really interesting.
When you're Mercedes Benz you have a pretty great history of iconic cars from which to pillage, and that's just what the German marque have done with their new 2010 SLS AMG. Based on the original 300 SL Gullwing, the 2010 model keeps the top-hinged doors but fixes them to a carbon fiber body with an AMG-tuned V8 5.3 liter, 564 horsepower engine under the hood.

Mercedes Benz has announced that in the summer of 2009, a new SPLITVIEW technology will be featured in S-Class models. Developed in collaboration with Bosch, this single Command display allows both the driver and passenger to view two separate programs simultaneously.
Mercedes Benz have announced their latest myCOMAND "Internet-Based Infortainment System" at the LA Motor Show, and while the name might be a bit tacky the system itself is anything but. Controlled by a multifunction dial and joystick, the system makes the most of a large, high-resolution LCD display to offer VoIP, a web browser, GPS with satellite imagery and a hard-drive based media server.
There's an old joke about cars running some incarnation of Windows suffering a BSOD as you're doing 70mph down the freeway; what might the equivalent be if your car's computer used Apple's OS instead? German magazine "FOCUS" is reporting that as of 2009 Mercedes will be using a navigation system designed by Apple:
"According to FOCUS-Information, Mercedes will equip its vehicles exclusively with a Navigation System from Apple’s design-laboratories starting in 2009. After six months other car manufacturers shall follow"
Some product endorsements make lots of sense. Say what you like about pro-gamer Fatal1ty, but it seems reasonable that he should put his name to a variety of gaming-focused mice, keyboards and other accessories. Other endorsements have that unfortunate tang of desperation and cashing in. Now I'm not trying to say that this Sharp 770SH ML special McLaren-edition is such a cash-in, but have you ever seen F1 driver Fernando Alonso actually using this handset, or driving around in a car that looks like it? I sure as heckity haven't.
In fact, as far as customisation goes it looks like they've pretty much got up to branding it with the McLaren colours of red, silver and black, and writing "Vodafone McLaren Mercedes" along the front. It's an okay handset; 3G, 262k colour 240x320 screen with video and mp3 playback, 1.3-megapixel camera and miniSD for expanding the pathetic 5MB of internal memory. They're claiming 220hrs talk-time and 340hrs standby, which doesn't sound quite right to me, and at 17.1mm thick it's not going to give ultra-skinny fashion phones any sleepless nights. Yours for €69 ($90).
The new SLR "722 Edition" isn't going to be cheap and definitely not for slow drivers. This beauty has an increased output of 650 horsepower, a tailor-made suspension configuration, and a much sportier interior. It’s super fast going from 0-62 mph in 3.6 seconds and reaching 124 mph at 10.2 seconds with top speed of 209 mph.
