While not necessarily shown off at this year's IFA, we can say that it was by proxy. Considering the presence that the company has at this year's show, we think it counts. In any event, they've just officially announced that their brand new StorE TV+ is coming to the market soon, and it offers up plenty of goodies for anyone who wants to get their streaming media on. Sony’s Qriocity On-Demand Media Streaming Hitting Europe This Fall

Sony is already starting to make some waves at this year's IFA event, over there across the pond. With a few announcements ready to go public today, they've pulled the curtain off their video-on-demand service, which will now forever be known as Qriocity. It's been on the workbench for quite some time now, and it's good to finally see that Sony's unveiling the project for a market release here in just a matter of weeks. With a brand new Apple event just about to take place tomorrow, we're a bit surprised to hear talk of another company thinking about doing something we've already heard Apple talking over, in their own way. This time around, according to sources familiar with the matter, it's Amazon, and they are aiming at taking a stab at Netflix, along with TV in general, in making an online streaming service available to its customers. CBS and Hulu Plus talks confirmed

Back in late June a rumor surfaced that CBS and Hulu were in talks to bring CBS programs to the Hulu Plus service for fans to watch. CBS is the top broadcaster in the country and was one of the big holdouts that didn’t offer programming via Hulu. Read The Full Story

Hulu Plus. Hopefully you think that has a ring to it, because with another "confirmation" from Reuters, it's looking more and more like one of the Internet's favorite media streaming websites is about to add a premium feature. Toshiba UX600 series HDTVs get WiFi, 1080p & LED-backlight

Toshiba have announced a new LED HDTV, the UX600 series, complete with an included WiFi adapter in the box and the ability to access YouTube, VUDU, Pandora and various social networking services like Facebook and Twitter.  Three models in the UX600 range will be available initially, the 40UX600, 46UX600 and 55UX600 sized at 40-inches, 46-inches and 55-inches respectively. Streaming ESPN to your Xbox 360?

The New York Times reports that Microsoft has held closed-door, in-depth talks with the Walt Disney Company about a certain programming deal with ESPN, with subject matter being ESPN streaming via the Xbox 360 (which the Microsoft execs are convinced is a “media portal for parents and grandparents” as well as a gaming machine for teenagers”).
