New Mass Effect 3 multiplayer event reminds PS3 players of injustice

A new Mass Effect 3 multiplayer event has just been announced, and in the wake of the tension that has been struck over the fact that Sony for some reason has blocked such events on the PS3, it's drawing a heated reaction. The new event is called Operation Exorcist. It tasks players with killing no fewer than one million Cerberus Phantom creatures. If they complete the challenge, they win a Victory pack. Apparently Sony is working on getting the online multiplayer events for Mass Effect 3, which have until now only been live on the Xbox 360 and PC, to the PS3 console. A lot of hubbub was made over the last several days after it was revealed that it was Sony's fault, not game developer Bioware's, because for some inexplicable reason Sony was preventing the events from happening on the PlayStation Network. The online component of EA and Bioware smash hit Mass Effect 3 is a little bit muddled on the PS3. To help keep things interesting in the online multiplayer world, developer Bioware has been running numerous promotions, such as the ability to gain extra XP or receiving bonuses for completing various tasks. But few games are being outsold on the Microsoft platform by a margin as large as this one.
