Marvel taps Jon Bernthal as the Punisher in ‘Daredevil’ series

It has been revealed that Jon Bernthal, perhaps best known for his role as Shane on The Walking Dead, will be playing the Punisher in the Netflix original series “Marvel’s Daredevil”. He will be arriving in the show’s second season, joining Charlie Cox who plays Hell’s Kitchen’s blind hero. There aren't too many details on how extensively he will play into the show, but his role in the series is described as a big one, and so it is likely we’ll be seeing a lot of him next season and beyond.

Romero’s ‘Empire of the Dead’ vampire/zombie comic slated for TV

Zombies have been an entertainment favorite since “Night of the Living Dead”, and in the current Walking Dead-climate others are looking to cash in on the genre. Enter George A. Romero’s ‘Empire of the Dead’ graphic novels, a series from Marvel Comics that details a world with both zombies and vampires. There's a real-deal Iron Man Edition of the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge coming, and it's coming soon. While Samsung has not confirmed a USA-based release of this device, an international (likely GSM) version will be appearing soon. Sources suggest that FOX will move forward with "The New Mutants," expanding their film control of the X-Men franchise. The comic book series "The New Mutants" provided the first stomping grounds for the monster known as Deadpool, appearing in the comic series back in its 98th issue of its first run back in 1991. The New Mutants film has not yet begun filming, and no actors have yet been confirmed. The director of this film, on the other hand, is one of the first people to step forward into the spotlight.
