In a mobile landscape in which it appears that smartphones will just keep getting bigger and bigger, Microsoft has pulled out all the stops, creating this week a six story tall building shapes like a Windows Phone to wow the citizens of the Big Apple. This device is no Windows Phone per say, but a construct made to promote new Windows Phones on AT&T and T-Mobile and will feature different scenes throughout its lifespan such as life-size Plants vs. Zombies and live bands playing music. Windows Phone Mango gets Spotify

Microsoft relaxes Windows Phone hardware demands

Microsoft is set to push Mango big time over the coming months with a bunch of the smartphones that will hit the market already unveiled. Microsoft has also relaxed the hardware requirements for the Mango platform, which should allow cheaper handsets to be offered on the market. Samsung Focus Flash hands-on [Video]

Today on the SlashGear test bench we have another neat Windows Phone 7.5 Mango device to show everyone. Announced back in September and hitting the shelves in just a few days is the Samsung Focus Flash and the Samsung Focus S. While very similar, today we’ll be quickly showing you the smaller of the two, the Focus Flash. It may be smaller in size but the specs are very similar and this AMOLED packing smartphone both looks and feels impressive.

Samsung Focus S Hands-on round-up

This week Samsung and AT&T have re-revealed a couple of devices that’ll be released on the 6th of this month, both of them Windows Phone 7.5 Mango, the Focus S and the Focus Flash. The Focus Flash is a mid-range device that’ll be released for $49.99 on-contract and the Focus S, which we’ll be looking at today, is a device that’s much more comparable to the Galaxy S II, a hero device for Android, and will be going for $199.99 on a two-year contract. There’s a whole lot riding on the Lumia 800. Nokia’s first Windows Phone and the handset that will usher in – so the company hopes – a new era of smartphone relevance and a turnaround in fortunes. Nokia Lumia 800 to hit UK on November 16, black first, other colors to follow

Nokia has confirmed that its much anticipated Windows Phone 7.5 Mango handset, the Nokia Lumia 800, will go on sale first in the UK starting November 16. But carriers will only stock the black model initially with the Cyan and Magenta versions to come later. Samsung Focus S and Flash WP7 Mango phones headed to AT&T on November 6

AT&T will be launching Samsung's upcoming Windows Phone 7.5 Mango handsets, the Focus S and the Focus Flash, on November 6. The carrier made the announcement today via its Facebook page, revealing that the Samsung Focus Flash will be priced at a very budget-friendly $49.99 while the Samsung Focus S will be priced at $199.99. Nokia World 2011: The US Perspective

Nokia World 2011 took place in London, my first time at the show, with the company revealing the Windows Phone handsets its bet the farm on. Windows Phone Mango roll-out 100% says Microsoft

Microsoft has confirmed that all "eligible" Windows Phones are now having the Mango update pushed out to them, bringing each up to speed with the new version of the platform preloaded onto handsets like the freshly unveiled Nokia Lumia 800. According to Microsoft's useful "Where's my update?" site, both US and international carriers across the board are now pushing out Windows Phone 7.5, albeit with one or two lingering exceptions.
