Nokia To Shutter Symbian And Feature Phone Businesses In North America

This past week seems to be all about what’s to happen this coming August and September, which look to be eventful months. Samsung began teasing its Galaxy S II for its US debut in August, while a white version was announced for the UK around the same time. Motorola confirmed that its Droid Bionic will launch in September and also arriving then is its 4G LTE upgrade for Motorola XOOM 3G customers. Windows Phone Mango Supports Music Streaming From SkyDrive
The Windows Phone Mango update promises more than 500 new features, one of which includes the integration of Microsoft's online cloud service called the SkyDrive. The feature lets you store photos, videos, and documents in the cloud for easy access and sharing. But with the newly released Mango beta build to developers earlier this week, it was discovered that the SkyDrive can also be used to stream music.

Fujitsu Toshiba IS12T WP7 Mango phone official [Video]
Fujitsu and Toshiba have officially announced the IS12T, the cellular partnerships' first Windows Phone and the first such smartphone to run Mango. Today, the company announced that its development team has officially signed off on the final build of Mango for release to manufacturing. This marks the end of development for the platform, which is now in carrier testing. LG’s Roadmap Leaked, Includes Windows Phone 7 Mango Fantasy And Dual-Core Prada K2
The roadmap for LG's 2H 2011 smartphone lineup has been leaked along with specs and images revealed by the folks at PocketNow. They were not allowed to reproduce the images, and hence have offered up some renderings, which show a strong lineup of both high-end and mid-tier Android devices as well as one Windows Phone 7 Mango handset. Nokia Q2 financials “clearly disappointing” says CEO Elop: €487m loss
Nokia has announced its Q2 2011 financial results, with an operating loss of €487m ($692m) and net sales of €9,275m, down 7-percent from Q2 2010 and 11-percent from Q1 this year. ”The challenges we are facing during our strategic transformation manifested in a greater than expected way in Q2 2011″ CEO Stephen Elop said, with the half-billion euro loss in operating profit a significant fall from the €439m profit made in the previous three month period.
Windows Phone Mango App Submissions In August Support September Launch
Microsoft's Windows Phone Mango update, along with a slew of new and hopefully exciting Mango handsets, may have only two more months before their big debut. A recent Tweet from Microsoft unwittingly confirmed Mango handsets to be sent out to ImagineCup finalists in September, and now a message to Windows Phone developers further supports that release timeframe.
