Nokia strikes back at Apple’s nano-SIM claims

Earlier today Apple sent out a note to the rest of the mobile-minded world that they'd offer up royalty-free licensing of their future nano-SIM technology - Nokia has since responded with a stern "no." Nokia's response (included in full below) says that Apple's suggestion that the world use their nano-SIM intellectual property does not include enough clout to be a legitimate proposal. In fact, Nokia writes, "Apple’s proposal for royalty-free licensing seems no more than an attempt to devalue the intellectual property of others.” Read The Full Story

Nokia Lumia may hit China March 28

As if Nokia's flagship Windows Phone brand hasn't been enough of a success in markets like Europe and the US, the company is now setting its sights on a very large prize - China. Nokia has announced that it will be upgrading customer purchases by offering Xpress-on color covers to Lumia 710 customers for free. Nokia Lumia 719 outed by Bluetooth SIG

The Bluetooth Special Interest Group, which is the official organization for setting and maintaining Bluetooth standards, has just granted approval for the Nokia Lumia 719 phone. This comes as somewhat of a surprise since Nokia itself hasn't yet confirmed the existence of the device, even though rumblings about it began last year. Nokia Lumia 610 and 305 complete certification process in Indonesia

A pair of new mobile phones from Nokia that includes the 305 handset and the Lumia 610 Windows Phone have both passed certification processes in Indonesia. The 305 is believed to be low-end mobile phone, perhaps part of the Asha range. The Lumia 610 is expected to be an entry-level Windows Phone device running the Tango flavor of the OS.
