Nokia Lumia 920 hands-on extended cut: City Lens and PureView

We had an extended look at the Nokia Lumia 920 this week courtesy of Nokia and Microsoft, complete with a brief glance at the difference between standard and PureView photography technology. What you’re about to see is a look at the unibody-like design of the hardware first, then a vision of what it means to work with Windows Phone 8 with Nokia-specific additions like Nokia City Lens and wireless charging right out of the box. Nokia Lumia 820 hands-on extended cut with NFC

It’s time to have a bit longer look at a video showing off Nokia’s brand new Lumia 820, the smaller of the two smartphones revealed this week with a fully functional version of Windows Phone 8 onboard. This device has many of the same powerful attributes as the Nokia Lumia 920, but has a bit smaller profile and brings in rounded edges and an interchangeable backplate that doesn’t have NFC embedded right out of the box. What we got to see yesterday was not just the special NFC-toting backplate that you can purchase separate from the 820, but the device working live with Nokia City Lens and Nokia Transport as well.

Nokia Lumia lineup grabs Entrance by AOL entertainment hub on AT&T

The Nokia Lumia lineup of devices have gotten a boost in the entertainment department as AT&T and Nokia team up to bring on an entertainment hub called Entrance by AOL. This hub will bring AOL Music, Moviefone, and "The Huffington Post Entertainment" together in an experience made specifically for Lumia smartphones. This environment will bring 55,000 SHOUTcast radio stations and free music album streaming via AOL Music, breaking news from across the entertainment industry, and Movifone's on-device movie search. SlashGear Evening Wrap-Up: September 4, 2012

We're getting ready to end a Tuesday that has produced some rather big news, so let's jump right into it, shall we? By far the biggest story of the day had to do with upcoming the Apple event. Apple started sending out invitations for the event today, using a picture that gives away what to expect at the event (spoiler alert: the iPhone 5 is coming). With an iPhone 5 reveal essentially confirmed, analysts are predicting success for the new handset, saying that it could potentially sell 10 million units this quarter. Nokia Lumia 920 appears in five color leak

Another image has appeared showing off what very well may be the hero device at this week's Nokia/Microsoft event, this being the Lumia 920, a Windows Phone 8 smartphone for the next generation. This model has been leaked with information leading us to believe that it'll be working with PureView technology in its 8 megapixel camera, this notion all but confirmed by Nokia's PureView chief this morning. His comments including how "it's NOT about the number of pixels but what you do with them" appearing as a direct response to criticism over the not-yet-confirmed Lumia smartphone. Nokia Windows Phone 8 Lumia event: What we know already

An event is coming up this week that’ll be hosted by Microsoft and Nokia in New York, it containing a whole lot of Windows Phone 8 news that appears now to have a leaky pipe. What we’ve seen thus far has been a collection of smartphones, a wireless charging pad, some speakers, and a few headphones in Nokia bright colors as well.
