In some larger cities in the US Amazon has been offering a service called Prime Now that lets buyers get some items delivered to their location in only an hour. Amazon is rolling Prime Now out to locations outside the US with London being the first place to gain access. For now, only certain postcodes in London are covered by Prime Now's one-hour shipping offer.

RLSB’s Wayfindr app helps the blind nagivate the London underground

The London subway system can difficult be difficult to navigate for tourists and locals alike. London's blind and visually impaired commuters have an additional layer of difficulty added to their daily subway travels. Without being able to clearly see any signage, their daily commute could range from a hassle to downright dangerous as they navigate stairs and train platforms. The Royal London Society for Blind People (RLSB) paired with developers UsTwo to create Wayfindr, an app that helps the blind and visually impaired find their way around the London underground.

London airspace closed due to computer glitch

In London, a “computer failure” has shut down the airspace surrounding the city. The European Organisation for the Safety of Air Navigation says Swanwich air traffic control center is experiencing severe technical problems, and a fix is nowhere in sight. For now, the technical issue is causing severe delays, and they advise anyone departing via a London Airport — yes, even Heathrow — to double-check with their airline to make sure they’ll be able to leave on-time. There is no timeframe for a solution to this issue.

We don't see a lot of 360-degree panoramas, or at least they're not as popular as traditional panoramas, but a group of photographers ended up shooting a 360-degree panorama of London, and broke the world record for the largest panoramic photograph in the process. The panorama was captured from the top of the BT Tower in London last year.

Earlier this morning we mentioned that, the London underground was getting 20 new Wi-Fi hotspot stations. Now we have learned that starting early next year London's black cabs will be getting free high-speed Wi-Fi hotspots inside.
