Logitech still haven’t made the Squeezebox Touch official yet, but unless someone has crafted one out of modelling clay and stuffed a Chumby inside, the touchscreen media streaming device is certainly out there in the wild. The 4.3-inch capacitive touchscreen device promises WiFi b/g, ethernet, USB connectivity and an SD card slot, together with streaming content through Logitech’s Squeezebox system, but right now the Touch refuses to do anything other than wait for a software update.

Here we go again with another week in review for your perusal. A mystery Android-powered MID tipped up this week looking very much like those renderings of the Apple tablet to my eyes. It’s cool to see android showing up on so many devices. Logitech unveiled an update to the coolest racing wheel ever, the G25, called simply enough the G27. The new wheel promises more accurate force feedback effects and keeps with the slick clutch and gated shifter we loved from the G25.

Should someone stage an intervention at Logitech? The company has unveiled yet more new mice, and while we realize that a healthy stream of peripherals is the bread & butter of their business, the recent flood seems to be getting a tad extreme. Still, today’s new wireless pointers – the Logitech Performance Mouse MX and the Anywhere Mouse MX – do at least bring something nifty to the table: “Darkfield Laser Tracking“.

Logitech have outed their latest Racing Wheel, the G27, and it looks to be the ideal way to make your desk feel like a car. Intended for PS2, PS3 and PC gamers, the G27 set consists of the steering wheel – with force-feedback, real leather and stainless steel, paddle shifters and programmable LEDs – plus a three pedal set and a separate shifter with eight buttons and a D-pad.

Logitech announced two upcoming iPod docks today, adding to their arsenal of home and portable speakers for the venerable Personal Music Player. The first is the Rechargeable Speaker S315i, a home speaker system designed for long-lasting listening power. The other is the Portable Speaker S125i, which is designed to give you your music whereever you might need it.

Logitech have outed another desktop keyboard and mouse combo, and this time they’re claiming good old fashioned comfort and productivity rather than bizarre ergonomics. The Logitech Wireless Desktop MK700 consists of a low-profile keyboard with integrated LCD status display, and a wireless mouse with frictionless scroll-wheel.

Logitech have unveiled their latest universal remote, the Harmony 900, an RF unit that – with the three bundled IR blasters – can control devices in other rooms or enclosed in cabinets. The Harmony 900 remote has a full-color touchcreen as well as numerous backlit hardware buttons, and can be set up via an online wizard; Logitech claim battery life of up to a week.

Logitech have unveiled a new headset and mouse, each intended for gamers. The Logitech G-Series Gaming Mouse G500 takes the G5 mouse and throws in on-the-fly adjustable accuracy up to 5,700dpi, a more comfortable shape and a weight-adjustable body for improved hand-feel. It also has a “battle finish” which Logitech reckon will put you in the right frame of mind for a bout of online gaming.

Logitech have announced a pair of new wireless presenter remote controls, the Presenter R400 and Presenter R800. Each offers a laser-pointer and presentation control keys; the R800 adds an LCD display with timer and a vibrating alert which can warn you when you have five, two, and zero minutes left on-stage.
