Last month, Logitech and Google showcased a commercial that was supposed to tell the world about the Logitech Revue set-top box, featuring Google TV. Unfortunately, that particular advertisement didn't do that. Instead, it managed to terrify anyone who watched it, and probably gave the actress in the ad something she'll never forget. Logitech Wireless Trackball M570 promises up to 18mo battery [Video]

Logitech has outed its newest peripheral, the Logitech Wireless Trackball M570, promising up to 18 months use from a regular AA battery. The M570 uses Logitech's Unifying Receiver, the USB dongle that will also hook up to the company's recent wireless keyboards, and promises up to 30ft range. In a new report from the Wall Street Journal, it seems that Google TV is set to make an impact a lot sooner than we had all imagined. Despite hearing from Eric Schmidt two days ago that GTV would launch some time in the Fall, Intel's CEO has it in mind that the platform is actually set to launch this month. Sure, it may not jibe well with people's perception of security or privacy, and that's perfectly understandable.
