Lincoln courts SUV luxe-lovers with 2016 MKX

Luxury crossovers and SUVs are booming, and Lincoln is wading back in with a new model, the 2016 MKX, targeting not only the US but China too. Revealed at the Detroit Auto Show this morning, the MKX joins the Lincoln MKT and is, so the company claims, its most powerful and best handling version so far, not to mention the quietest inside. It's also an opportunity for Lincoln to throw tech at its high-end SUV, with a range of semi-autonomous parking aids, pop-out cameras, and more.

Ford recalling cars over poor start button location

Many modern cars have a modern design twist, eschewing the levers and gear shifts from days gone by in favor of touchscreens and buttons. Too many ambiguous buttons can confuse anyone given enough time, however, and it only takes one wrong push to do something you really, really didn't intend to do -- like sending a moving car to a sudden screeching halt. Such is a problem being experienced by some 2015 Lincoln MKC owners, who have complained that a poorly located start button means potentially dangerous mistakes are happening.
