Not just ANY smartphone, of course, and there's a catch: Starting Black Friday, new and existing customers signing up for a T-Mobile FAMILY PLAN with a 2yr agreement and purchase any of several featured smartphones (including the T-Mobile myTouch 4G, or the Samsung Galaxy Tab) get a fatured smartphone or "affordable Android handset" for free! Sounds like a reasonable enough deal, yes? Totally family oriented. There's some sweet phones on that list, too, including a favorite of mine, the T-Mobile G2.

Today we reconfirm the idea that Google Voice for iPhone is a big deal - then argue about it! Apple told the world they'd be changed forever after today, then the Beatles are released on iTunes! We review and/or unbox the following items: SoundFreaq SFQ-01A, Google Voice for iPhone, Samsung Continuum, and Evan's epic week with the HTC HD7 continues with "Software!" Barnes and Noble's Nook Color officially goes on sale, and Google CEO Eric Schmidt's Web 2.0 2010 appearance video is up for multiple views - the Nexus S! Gingerbread! Sweetness! On the business end of things, Samsung Galaxy Tab's production may very well be cut in half due to poor demand, Panasonic is entering the Japanese Smartphone market in 2011, and 1 MILLION Optimus One smartphones have been sold in one month! Oh and the T-Mobile G2 was overclocked to 1.9Ghz like it was no big deal

We're getting dangerously close to that ever-so-spooky howliday, and the gadgets just aren't reflecting it at all! I suppose that's how it goes though, it's only one day, no use in making a pumpkin themed telephone for that. In honor of the most smashing of days coming up though, I did carve a pumpkin for you. It's also in celebration of me finally downloading what I now realize is the greatest tiny game ever made. See if you can tell what it is. I carved it for you. LG Optimus Pad Unveiled, Super Thin and Running Android

LG, at this year's Dealer Days, has officially pulled the curtain off their tablet device. In the same vein as their Optimus line-up of Android-powered smartphones, they've just confirmed to the world that there is, indeed, an Optimus Pad. The tablet device is primed to take on the likes of Apple's iPad, and Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Tab, even if the specifications are few and far between.
