We’re all the way over across the pond today to take a peek at LG’s newest beast, the LG Optimus LTE2, complete with a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 dual-core processor, LTE data speed, at a massive 2GB of RAM. This device was announced just this past month as Samsung released information on their own new monster the Galaxy S III, and here in the LTE2 you’ll find some fabulous specifications that definitely aim high on the super phone chart for ultimate dominance across the earth. Don’t expect this machine to hit the shores of the USA any time soon, but have a peek at how powerful this monster is in the wild today.

The LG Optimus LTE2 will be coming to Korea exclusively (at first) and will be bringing a True HD IPS display with 2GB of RAM to back it up. There’s 1280 x 720 pixel resolution in this 4.7-inch display, all of that being brought to the table with the massively impressive Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 dual-core processor being run at 1.5Ghz per core here this week. The gigantic 2GB of memory is impressive, of course, but what we’ve found while we’re just holding it here on display is that it’s using a massive 1GB on idle – we must expect that this is just because the device does not have final software in-tact quite yet.

This device has an 8 megapixel camera on the back, voice actions throughout with modifications to Google’s own voice recognition by LG, and there’s a massive 2.150 mAh under the hood to keep you powered up all day long. The camera itself will be benefitting from the voice actions mentioned here, just saying “kimchi” bringing you video capture. Snap a photo or capture an amazing moment with rolling 1080p with just a word – simple stuff.

Inside you’ve got NFC as well as Bluetooth 4.0 and the ability to work with Android 4.0′s Ice Cream Sandwich Beam. This ability also works with LG’s Tab+ in the wild. This device also has wireless charging if you’re into such a thing, and the whole device benefits from a soft-touch backing which makes for an almost fabric-like situation for extreme comfort. Have a peek at the hands-on video, the gallery above and below, and check the timeline for additional coverage of this next-level LG smartphone!

This week it appears that one lucky fellow has found his way into the LG repository of unrevealed products with a touchy-feely look at each and every one of the Mobile World Congress 2012 devices. You’re about to get a glimpse of no less than the LG Optimus LTE, the LG Optimus L7, LG Optimus 4X HD, LG Optimus 3D Max, LG Optimus L3, and of course the LG Optimus Vu, each of them captured by Telefonino. Each of these devices have been announced previous to this event, but this is basically the first time we’ve seen each of them “in the wild” as it were.

Very briefly let’s go through and see a fun new point or two on each of these devices before we see them in person next week in Spain, starting with the LG Optimus L7. With the LG Optimus L7, you’ll see the line’s newly minted NFC capabilities in full working order – also the three-button nature of the device, with one physical button in the middle and two haptic buttons on either side lighting up.

Next with the LG Optimus L3 you’ll notice that LG is coming forward with some smaller devices as well as large, this device still working with Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread out of the box as well while many models will be starting with Ice Cream Sandwich.

Next we’ll have a look at a video the Telefonino folks have taken of the LG Optimus LTE aka LTE Tag just so you can see the absolutely absurd pull-up antenna that happens to exist on this international model.

With the LG Optimus 4X complete with NVIDIA Tegra 3 you’ll get a glimpse of the Ice Cream Sandwich-related user interface customizability that LG has presented with their own custom UI skin.

The LG Optimus 3D Max aka 3D Cube is very very similar to its predecessor, the LG Optimus 3D, save for a few modifications to the innards and a thinned-down profile – seen here.

LG has announced another new smartphone ahead of Mobile World Congress, the LG Optimus LTE Tag, to go with the LG Optimus Vu revealed over the weekend. A 4.3-inch Android 2.3 Gingerbread smartphone with a bright, 650 nits IPS LCD display and 1.2GHz dual-core processor, as the name suggests the Optimus LTE Tag prioritizes both 4G LTE connectivity and Near-Field Communication (NFC) with various sticky NFC labels used to switch the handset between different modes.

So, a CAR Mode tag can automatically run the in-car UI, with an oversized interface for easier use of the Optimus LTE Tag while it’s docked in a windshield cradle. LG preloads its own Tag+ (or Tag Plus) app to handle reading the NFC tags, and three sheets of stickers will apparently be included in the box with the smartphone. Other possible uses will be switching into Office mode, as well as turning settings on and off for things like WiFi and muting the ringer, but users will also be able to program tags themselves.

Otherwise, the Optimus LTE Tag looks to be a relatively straightforward Android device, with HDMI-MHL connectivity and DLNA support. LG hasn’t revealed full specifications, but there’s obviously a front-facing camera and presumably the gamut of wireless connectivity along with GPS and a Full HD main camera.

We’ll know all the details when LG shows off the Optimus LTE Tag at MWC 2012 next week, when hopefully it will confirm pricing and availability as well.
