This week the LG Optimus G hits Europe in several markets it's never been available in before with a collection of feature upgrades that'll make it the most enticing device it's ever been. Though the LG Optimus G has already launched in several markets around the world - including in the USA (see our full LG Optimus G review now!) - this launch will place the quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro-toting smartphone in Sweden, France, Germany, and Italy as well. This version of the device will also be working with Android Jelly Bean 4.1.2 right out of the box.

LG Optimus G Pro revealed with beastly Full HD display
This week the folks at LG have revealed their fair share of smartphones, not the least of them being the LG Optimus G Pro, a device we've seen several peeks of before. This device works with a massive 5.5-inch display with Full HD resolution and a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor. This device will be unleashed in South Korea first and has not yet been confirmed for Europe or the United States.

LG Optimus G Pro+ spotted with extra massive display
The LG Optimus G was ushered in with a bang last year, bringing on the first look we'd had at the Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core processor - and here in 2013 it's looking like the face of the device is about to get a whole lot larger. With the original Optimus G having a very likely large amount of sales cannibalized by the Google Nexus 4, it's no wonder that LG is likely thinking about bringing not one, but two new models to the market here in the first half of the year. LG mobile teases fabulous “new series” for MWC 2013
This week the folks at LG have made it clear that their mobile sector will be bringing on a whole new series of smartphones (or tablets!) to Mobile World Congress 2013. Predictions for Google’s Android in 2013: Freedom for All!
At the start of 2012 the folks at Google were seeing their beloved Android mobile operating system being used on more iPhone clones than we’d care to discuss – near the turn-over to 2013, big manufacturers like Samsung and HTC have made their own hero lines the likes of which Android has never known. What we saw in 2012 was recognition of the model that has worked for Apple extremely well since all the way back in 2007 – a focus on the ecosystem rather than on the individual specifications of any one device. This will continue in a very big way through 2013 with manufacturers holding up a single torch – like the Motorola RAZR brand – to keep themselves lit up brightly.

The difference between the Google Play Nexus 4 and the T-Mobile Nexus 4 is neither in the hardware nor in the software, but in the cost and agreement you’ll be making with T-Mobile – but that doesn’t mean we can’t give some more time to Google’s own smartphone hero for Android 4.2 Jelly Bean – for science! LG Optimus G2 tipped for May 2013 release
LG seems to be on a roll lately, and they're wasting no time delivering device after device. They recently launched their flagship Optimus G handset, as well as the Nexus 4 for Google. Up next may possibly be the Optimus G2, which is rumored to launch sometime in May of 2013, and it could come packing with one of those 5-inch 1080p displays that we're hearing all about.

LG: LTE in the Nexus 4 is an evolutionary leftover
The LTE modem discovered in the Nexus 4 is an evolutionary leftover akin to an appendix or tailbone, LG has explained, dashing any hopes of a firmware update unlocking future 4G capabilities. Interest was raised when teardowns of the latest Nexus smartphone revealed it had an LTE-capable modem, despite being billed as 3G only; as LG told TechRadar, however, that's just the vestigial remnants of the more advanced - and more expensive - device the Nexus 4 was based upon.

Samsung Galaxy Note II hands-on with quad-core gaming
The Samsung Galaxy Note II is coming to a carrier near you soon, and one fact that seems to have slipped under the radar for many is that it comes with not just a massive display, but a gaming-ready quad-core Exynos processor as well. Welcome to Tuesday evening everyone. Today was a pretty big day as far as news goes, with Apple sending out invites to an upcoming event, which is where we're assuming the company will announce the iPad Mini. Not one to be outdone, Microsoft finally gave us some substantial details on Surface today (including information on pre-orders), and Samsung was right there to put its line up of new Windows 8 PCs and tablets up for pre-order as well.

AT&T LG Optimus G Review
With the LG Optimus G, this OEM brings on its most powerful device by a long shot, with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core processor inside and a 4.7-inch TrueHD IPS+ LCD display up front, this running on AT&T’s 4G LTE network here in the USA. What we’re seeing here is a device that’s ever so slightly confused in its identity – with more power than it knows what to do with in a device that looks and feels fabulous, but is just a bit bigger and more slippery than a normal-sized human being will be comfortable holding. Perhaps this combination of looks and processing power are enough to convince us that LG has suddenly become as much of a top-tier contender in the USA as Samsung and Apple?

Welcome back to Monday everyone - we've got a heaping helping of news to recap, so let's dive right in. Today we found out that Apple's manufacturing partnership with Samsung may not last much longer, and that the Google Nexus 7 might just be the best-selling Android tablet ever (which, given its immense popularity, doesn't surprise us in the least). One Walmart store has its shelves fully stocked with copies of Windows 8, and this afternoon, we have reason to believe that a new, slimmer iMac may be in the pipeline.
