Nokia Lumia 929 photo and video leaked

Nokia Lumia 929 photo and video leaked

Update: The YouTube video was removed by the user, moments after we published this post; we have therefore removed the embedded player for now. Anybody care to leak another version?

Update: Thanks to an anonymous commenter, we have another version of the video for you in-line.

A photo and video of the yet-to-be-released Nokia Lumia 929 has been leaked by WPCentral forum member Falorin. The Windows Phone device appears scuffed and marked up, indicating Falorin has had it in his possession and been using it for some time now. The leak is a welcome sight for Lumia fans who were disappointed to find it did not appear as expected at Nokia World 2013 in Abu Dhabi last week.

Sony aims to cut down on “leakage” of prototype handsets

Leaks are common, and provide details and looks at what companies are up to before they get around to officially showing off their goods. Sony in particular experienced quite a few leaks this year, particularly of its Xperia Z1 "Honami" smartphone, so much so that the eventual unveiling revealed little that we didn't already know. The device maker is trying to reduce this problem, posting device rules around one of its offices.

Nexus 5 photographed in a bar: LG G2 to the core

Appearing in the most classic of phone leak locations, the Nexus 5 appears to have popped up in a bar, complete with LG branding on its back. This device rings true as a device we've seen a couple of times before in early testing and/or Google public dogfooding. The specifications of this smartphone are as-yet unknown, but have been tipped to replicate those of the LG G2 rather closely.

Moto X budget edition may include swappable casing colors

Moto X budget edition may include swappable casing colors

While the current first-wave Moto X devices from Motorola allow custom-order colors and etching, a tip today suggests that a low-cost version of the device might include the ability to swap out casings whenever the user chooses. What we're seeing today is a combination of a photo of some colored backsides of a next-generation Moto X (or whatever it'll be called in the future) alongside reminder that Motorola CEO Dennis Woodside spoke up recently on a low-cost device for developing countries. Could this be it?

iPhone 5S leaked in full with new “graphite” color

The iPhone is rumored to come in three colors so far: white, black, and gold. But wait -- there seems to be another color making the rumor rounds. A grey, graphite, or gunmetal (whatever you want to call it) color for the iPhone 5S has leaked, pointing to the possibility of the new Apple phone getting four colors.

Xbox One white edition pops up as employee-only incentive

An image from Microsoft has leaked that reveals what appears to be an employee-only version of the Xbox One that's made in white. The console is blazoned in all white except for the side panels, and the controller sports a rather nice looking white and black combo that looks pretty sleek. The Kinect, however, remains black.

Gold iPhone 5S hardware dummy appears aside standard black and white

This week we've heard more than one unofficial confirmation that the iPhone 5S would be launched with three color models - and today we're seeing the whole lot. According to sources - the anonymous kind - speaking on the iPhone 5S launch coming up soon (as soon as September 10th, as it were), the device is set to be sent out in white, black, and gold. This third color option is not likely to be gold the same way a golden pirate coin is gold, instead appearing much closer to a Champagne in tone.

Intel smartphone and tablet chip roadmap leaks: Bay Trail-T the star for Android

Intel smartphone and tablet chip roadmap leaks: Bay Trail-T the star for Android

It would appear that the folks at Intel are not giving up - by any means - on their ventures into the smartphone and tablet universe as a roadmap of processor architecture leaks today. This selection of next-generation hardware will be used in Windows 8, Windows 8.1, and Android 4.2 devices, leaving Windows RT in the dust (not that Intel was all that excited about the platform in the first place, as it were). It all begins with a suggestion from Digitimes, Taiwan-based newspaper sources speaking up on two new tablet platforms Cherry Trail and Willow Trail, both of which will come in with 14nm processes.

Rumors have been popping up recently about what to expect in the next-generation Kindle Fire tablet series, and full specs for the next-gen entry-level Kindle Fire have been leaked, but it's nothing too special, other than that the new entry-level Kindle Fire will have the same internal guts as the current entry-level Kindle Fire HD.

iPad mini 2 housing leaks aside iPad 5

Though the changes appear to be few, the next-generation casings for both the iPad 5 and the iPad mini 2 appear to be hitting the factory floor with bits and pieces all their own. This double dose of Apple hardware - if it does indeed prove to be legitimate, shows the iPad family to be making a few aesthetic changes while it improves its innards - innards which we've been hypothesizing are getting incremental updates this Fall. The first of these changes comes in the Apple logo.
