Samsung and Google chatted OLED partner potential spills VP

Samsung has hinted at a potential OLED partnership with Google, with chatter from within the company of a deal on OLED TVs after CEO Larry Page visited one of Samsung's South Korean OLED facilities. "During the meeting with the Google CEO, I proposed the expansion of our business partnership to him" Samsung Electronics vice chairman Lee Jay-yong told The Korea Times, describing Page's reaction as showing "interest in our OLED business." Mayer reportedly new Jawbone director as Yahoo eyes wearables

Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer has joined the board of portable gadget specialist Jawbone - known for its UP fitness monitor, headsets, and speakers - it's reported, reigniting chatter that the search company might look to leveraging wearables along the lines of Google's Glass. Mayer had apparently been in talks with Jawbone about a director's position prior to joining Yahoo back in July 2012, so AllThingsD reports, and has already attended at least one board meeting sources at the company claim. New Xbox 720 tipped for November with LIVE Gold subsidy option

Microsoft’s next-gen Xbox – codenamed Durango but unofficially known as the “Xbox 720” – will hit shelves in early November but not be accompanied by a cheaper entertainment-only model, new leaks claim today. One previous plan to launch two next-gen Xbox variants, one of which (codenamed “Yuma”) would be more akin to a set-top box and deliver Kinect-controlled streaming content but not full gameplay, has been ditched, well-connected Paul Thurrott claims, though Microsoft is supposedly planning two pricing models that would in effect subsidize the Xbox 720.

Justice Department authorized ISPs to bypass Wiretap Act

The Justice Department is toying with the definitions of "legal," according to the folks over at CNET, which say the Electronic Privacy Information Center provided them with documents detailing a bypass of the Wiretap Act.
