Samsung unveils new BX2031, BX2231, BX2331, and BX2431 monitors

Samsung has unveiled a new series of computer monitors called the 31 series that includes four new screens. The screens include the BX2031, BX2231, BX2331, and BX2431 with screen sizes of 20-inches, 21.5-inch, 23-inch, and 24-inch respectively. Gateway FHX2152L, FHX2402L & FHD2303L LCDs get distinctive designs

Gateway has outed a trio of new LCD displays, the 21.5-inch Gateway FHX2152L, 24-inch Gateway FHX2402L, and the 23-inch Gateway FHD2303L.  All three run at 1920 x 1080 resolution with a 12,000,000:1 (presumably dynamic) contrast ratio and 250 cd/m2 brightness. Read The Full Story

Sharp Demonstrates 64-Inch Prototype LCD Display at CEATEC

CEATEC is happening right now in Japan, and will be an ongoing presence in the region for the next few days. It's another electronics trade show where companies all over the world can showcase their latest and greatest, as well as plenty of prototypes of things they'd love to get out into the market. Sharp managed to make the high-definition market shake a bit, as they successfully demonstrated a 64-inch LCD prototype display, featuring a resolution of 4096 x 2160. Read The Full Story

Toshiba Halts OLED Production, Focuses on LCD Instead

For the most part, Samsung has a pretty big stake in the OLED manufacturing market. Other companies, like HTC for example, have depended upon them to manufacture displays for their high-end smartphones, like the Droid Incredible for Verizon. But there are other manufacturers out there that take pride in OLED distribution, like Toshiba. However, that's all about to change, as the company believes that there is still more of a focus on LCD displays, and have opted to stop production of OLED, and focus on LCD. Read The Full Story

Sharp LC-52LB3 & LC-46LB3 AQUOS Quattron 3D LCD TVs Unveiled

For TV manufacturers, getting the best quality picture to the consumer is a top priority. For Sharp, they've tried to reach that goal by introducing TVs with the Quattron technology, which successfully adds a fourth color (yellow) to the standard Red, Green, Blue. The result is a sharper image, and better colors on the screen. Bose managed to cram just about everything into the VideoWave, and it even features a customized User Interface, which Bose hopes will make navigation simpler, and with less clutter. LaCie has just unveiled a brand new 24-inch display meant for the professional market, and it's packing enough pixels in there that the company says it will provide you with "lifelike clarity." The 10-bit P-IPS LCD display is indeed packing quite the feature set, and it's probably more than enough to make anyone out there in need of a display to show off all of their pictures and movies to take a second look. Dell now shipping the UltraSharp U3011 30-inch LCD

I have a big soft spot for Dell 30-inch screens, I have used Dell's original 30-inch screen since the thing came out and never regretted my choice. Dell has announced that its newest 30-inch screen is not shipping called the UltraSharp U3011. The screen has a resolution of 2560 x 1600 and a contrast ratio of 1000:1 and up to 100,000:1 dynamic. Apple 27-inch LED Cinema Display goes up for $999 sale

Apple's 27-inch LED Cinema Display has finally gone up for sale, after being revealed all the way back in July.  Priced at $999 - and listed as shipping within 1-2 weeks - the new Cinema Display runs at 2560 x 1440 resolution and has a Mini DisplayPort input and an integrated 49W 2.1 speaker system.
