Klipsch Image S2m earbuds for phones announced

klipschimages2m lg 210x210 customKlipsch revealed a new set earbuds today that’s meant entirely for use with smartphones called the Image S2m. These earbuds are a bit lower on the food chain than the S4i, but they still offer up a few more features than the S2.

These earbuds have a remote and microphone built-in, which is a necessity for any smartphone user these days. Intended to work with Apple devices, the earbuds can work with many other phones as well.

Included with the earbuds are oval eartips, which supposedly fit better in the ear than the standard round ones. Pricing is expected to be around $59.99 when the Image S2m earbuds are released next month.

Klipsch Image S2 & S4 headphones target bargain hunters

Klipsch outed their Image headphones back at CES 2008, and since then the high-end noise-isolation buds have spawned a range spanning $130 to $350.  Now there’s a pair of  budget options, the Klipsch Image S2 and Image S4 headphones, hitting the 449 and $79 price points but still offering the patent-pending ear-tips.

Klipsch intros three affordable HD Theater surround speakers

Klipsch Audio has announced three affordable 5.1 surround-sound speaker systems, designed primarily for high-end PC multimedia system to entry-level Home Theater entertainment. Unlike their much-advanced Home theater lineup, the new members are reasonably priced but still offering high performance feature such as its heritage horn technology with a MicroTractrix 0.75-inch aluminum dome tweeter; units are compact in size but big in sound with complement subwoofer and powerful digital hybrid/ digital class D amplifier.

Energy RC-Micro 5.1 speakers are small but powerful

It can be downright amazing, the quality of sound that can come out of the smaller form factor speakers these days. It just goes to show that you don’t need a gigantic whopper of a sound system to get good quality sound that you can enjoy. The Energy RC-Micro 5.1 speaker system is small but really delivers.

CES 2008: Image from Klipsch

The Image headphones are tagged as being the world’s smallest and lightest available on the market right now. They have patented Contour Eal Gels that are anatomically designed to fit inside the ear canal. They are said to reduce ear fatigue as well as provide excellent noise isolation and increased bass response.

Axiom Audiobyte – it’s been called the Bentley of PC speakers

Personally, if I create a device, and it’s the best there is, I don’t want it likened to a Bentley, in the car world, that’s small potatoes, liken my product to a McLaren F1, a Bugatti Veyron, or a Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost, not a Bentley. Then again, these don’t really appear to be even in the Bentley league, maybe the BMW of the audio world.

In fact these look like that house on the corner that used to be condemned but someone came along and threw a new paint job on it and is now selling it for a small fortune. These speakers claim to be of audiophile quality, and it sounds like they are even trying to compare their product to those $400 Bose PC speakers, but they look quite cheap.

Klipsch Palladium P-39F Home Theater Speakers Cost A Car

So you could go buy a fairly cheap new car, like a Dodge Caliber or a Chevy Cobalt, or you could buy this pair of new floor-standing speakers from Klipsch. I am a broke college student and after only seeing these things in the photo, I think it would be a toss up.

These colossal works of audio art utilize a 3.5-way (what?) Tapered Array that has some new proprietary horn-loaded tweeter made from acoustic dampening materials, that last part seems like a step in the wrong direction, but I am sure they sound great, anyways, on with the specs. The mid’s are of an inverted dome design and then there are the three whopping woofers.
