The watch is on the rise - with rumors of an Apple iWatch persisting through the past several months, the Samsung Galaxy Gear appearing in stores this month, and Sony already having released their second Smartwatch product this year. What we're seeing this week is the second anonymous suggestion that Google will be releasing its own hardware along with software support for a new wearable this month.

Android KitKat explored in early build: Key Lime Pie solidified

Though the likes of the next build for Android in version 4.4 KitKat will be appearing in full soon, today we're having a peek at an early build of what was once called Android 4.4 Key Lime Pie. It's become obvious over the past couple of weeks that Google had indeed been calling their next build of Android Key Lime Pie until they came into a deal with Nestle which, as you know, resulted in the name change and subsequent candy bar sales deal. Now we're having a peek at a build of Key Lime Pie from August, at a point in which it was quite likely showing up with a build much older than that still.

Google celebrates 15th birthday in its original home: a garage

As it seems to be with all great technology projects, Google started in a garage. As any garage band can tell you, great inspiration comes from working in someone's personal space, dreaming of the greatness of a dedicated home base - for Google, that time was 15 years ago this week. To celebrate, Google has done several things - one of them being a miniature party in the original Susan Wojcicki-owned home of Google's worldwide HQ.
