SwiftKey 3.0.1 update brings Google Voice Dictation

It's time for the 3.0.1 update to SwiftKey, one of the most in-depth 3rd party onscreen keyboards available for Android right this minute. This update takes the 3.0 update and adds several boosts to already existing features such as Smart Space - where before you were only getting spaces without tapping the space bar if you had everything spelled correctly, now there's two-word corrections and spacing as well. This update also changes out SwiftKey's voice recognition for the official Android Ice Cream Sandwich / Jelly Bean voice input from Google.

Archos G10 Android tablet brings on teaser for IFA

This week the folks at Archos have previewed their next-generation Android tablet for use with a special keyboard dock and what's undoubtedly an ultra-powerful multi-core processor. What sets this device aside from the competition here in its very unrevealed state is the fact that it does not pull up from its included keyboard dock as a notebook would, but rather sits in the dock separately like we've seen happen with the iPad's Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard Cover. With a note that suggest the Archos G10, as it's called, will be out in 3 weeks, we must assume that we'll see it at IFA 2012 in Berlin.

ASUS Nexus 7 Bluetooth keyboard case and rotating folio revealed

More official Google Nexus 7 accessories have emerged, including a Bluetooth keyboard case for the 7-inch Jelly Bean tablet, and a rotating folio-stand that allows for both portrait and landscape use. The ASUS-made add-ons are all expected imminently, UK retailer MobileFun claims, finally broadening the range of accessories Nexus 7 owners can choose from beyond the current polyurethane cover.

Razer has announced a new version of its mechanical BlackWidow series gaming keyboard for 2013. The new edition of the Ultimate keyboard will launch next month and will sell for $139.99. The BlackWidow series has always been known for its mechanical keys with crisp, tactile actuation. The new 2013 edition of keyboard has improved anti-ghosting technology and uses Razer Synapse 2.0 cloud technology.

Microsoft Surface Touch Cover vs Type Cover hands-on

There are two different covers for the Microsoft Surface tablets revealed today, both of them able to cover up and protect the front of the tablet but each of them with different abilities in their keys. The biggest difference between the two is the way the keys work - while the Type Cover has moving keys while the Touch Cover is capacitive instead. The Touch Cover is also a bit thinner, while the Type Cover will likely cost a bit more - and both have been introduced right alongside the Microsoft Surface tablets (see our hands-on here) as their best companions.
