If you're thinking about picking up the brand new quad-core powerhouse by the name of LG Optimus G in the near future, you're in for a treat - LG has just released their update schedule for Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and the G is up for upgrade! Unfortunately for you if you're picking up the device inside the USA, you won't necessarily see the upgrade so soon as the Korean version which will be grabbing 4.1 in December. Here in the USA we're more than likely still going to have to wait several more months while a lovely collection of LG devices overseas see their tasty treats delivered inside 2012. LG Nexus Prototype detailed in full

The next Nexus family device set to be released by Google and LG appears to have been revealed essentially top to bottom by a man with a prototype. This LG Nexus device being a prototype shown off by the Onliner lends quite a bit of detail as far as how this device will look and feel, but does not send out final details insomuch as it’s working with software that’s already out on the market and does not seem to be performing as it would have to in benchmark tests of several types. LG Nexus 4 smartphone launch tipped for October 29th

If you're waiting for the next Nexus smartphone from Google with their own stripped-down version of Android (in whatever iteration they choose to deliver), you'll not be waiting more than a month. A tip from French publication Le Figaro has delivered an inside source with a carrier source they've been speaking with anonymously that the 29th of October will be the availability date for the next-generation LG Nexus 4, with a December release date up for France specifically. HTC DROID Incredible X appears certified to take on Verizon Galaxy Note

It would appear that the 5-inch warrior currently code-named DROID Incredible X is showing up certified with Verizon as a big competitor for the Samsung Galaxy Note II. What we're seeing here is the HTC6435LVW, an HTC device also known as the DLX, coming forth with a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core 1.5GHz processor with a 5-inch FullHD display and 1.5GB of RAM. This device has also been tipped to be bringing 16GB internal storage (likely one of several choices), a 12 megapixel camera on the back, 2 megapixel camera on the front, and a 2500 mAh battery under the hood as the HTC One X 5. Samsung Galaxy S III Jelly Bean update arrives in Korea

Samsung's slow roll-out of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean for the Galaxy S III continues, with South Korean users next in line to get the updated OS. Availability of Jelly Bean for the best-selling Samsung smartphone began late last month in parts of Eastern Europe, and according to Samsung the 3G version of Korean Galaxy S III handsets is next up, with features like Google Now and new homescreen widgets. It's CNET that has a source speaking on how the end of October will be the time for LG to bring on the heat with their first-ever contribution to the Nexus lineup. Welcome to Thursday evening everyone - just one more work day to go and then we'll have arrived at the weekend. Today we received a pair of invites from Microsoft - one for a Windows 8 launch event happening on October 25, and another for a Windows Phone 8 event happening on October 29. We also learned today that Samsung intends to update the Galaxy S III to Jelly Bean "soon," but sadly, we still don't have a specific date to speak of.
